Maria feels weird to me on the Saturn, like she's oddly overpowered and i can just cheese everything. What's her PSP version like?

I keep getting and not playing SOTN on various platforms, so I guess I need to continue the tradition.

Hope this it.

Yessssss. Can't wait. I have played SoTN about a billion times but I am always up to play it again, and with a Platinum? Ahhhh yeahhhh!

I hope this leads to more re releases. I really need the GBA-DS ones released on something else.

Maybe I'll finally finish SotN.

You know what, I think it's been long enough since I played Symphony of the Night. And it comes out just in time for Halloween, so kudos for the release window.

EDIT: I had no idea it was being released on the same day as Castlevania Netflix Season 2. Cheeky bastards.

Just in time for Halloween! And a couple weeks before Tetris Effect. Really looking forward to playing both.

I love both of these games. I would replay them anytime, anywhere! I hope Konami realizes that many want to play it on Switch.

Yeah, it's kind of weird both games aren't as widely available as they should be and took this long to even be released this generation, considering how well regarded they are
So much so, that I ended up hooking up my PS3 earlier this year to play Symphony of the Night. But I never got around to playing it. I wonder how both versions will compare.

As mentioned, Rondo is what I'm most intrigued in. I don't believe it has ever been released outside of Japan? Not in its original form at least. The Wii VC might have been the exception, but that's no longer an option.

Rondo of Blood is the best Castlevania, and SotN is pretty dope too. I just played 1, 2, 3, Kid Dracula, 4, Rondo of Blood, and SotN when I got my wisdom teeth out and it was a great way to get into the series.

I have Symphony at least twice and Rondo on Virtual Console so I'll wait for a sale, but if you don't own these and they are emulated well, by all means they are worth $20.

Is there any official digital release of Castlevania 3 that I can nab? I've played through and beaten 1 and I want to do 2-4 in addition to this rerelease.

That really nice, but i'm still waiting they tweaked SOTN a little, the game is way too easy in original state... but hey it's better then nothing.

Wii U broke before I was able to nab Rondo from the VC. Glad to finally have a chance to own it again and not have to dig up the PSP.

Curious how they'll scale these. You can do a simple 5x scale and the picture will take up approximately 90% of the screen, but will slightly crop some of the initial menus. Hopefully it's not simply slapping an ugly background on it like the 360 release.

So cool, very glad its the original versions

I'm currently enjoying Symphony of the Night on original hardware via my OSSC and it looks amazing, so I will stick with that, but I've never played Rondo so I will be purchasing.

I've never actually played any of the Castlevanias, so I wouldn't mind giving these a shot.

SOTN is the one that's ridiculously well regarded right?
They both are and this is key...

These two games offer very different experiences. Rondo is one of the best traditional Castlevania games in the sense that it's a level by level action game with a series of bosses. It has its own unique twists, though, and still plays like a dream. It's nearly my favorite in the series.

SotN then is basically the first open-ended RPG style game. It's a "Metroidvania" - a term that couldn't exist without SotN really. I think it IS still the best game of this type in the Castlevania series.

Either way, these games will provide a great experience if you like action games.

Interesting that this ended up only being a 2 game collection. I love both games, but I might hold off to see if they do a more complete collection on another platform.
