Happy that it's autumn here finally so my tea drinking will go up. I used to be picky and get specific kinds of tea but my girlfriend's mom keeps giving free tea from China so I just drink that.

It is time.

I've gotta pick out a nice brand of chai, pumpkin spice and a herbal for this fall. Its a requirement for cool afternoons.

I like herbal teas, green, ginger, mint, chai tea on occasion but it's quite a taste, also better than normal tea for top ups. I can't be bothered with the milk part, teabag removal of normal tea, terribly lazy I know.

Green tea does have caffeine too btw, not as much as coffee.

The caffeine in green tea is modulated a bit by the amino acid L-theanine found in green tea. It's why most people find green tea doesn't make them jittery like coffee can.

Ginger tea is best tea. I drink all different varieties of it. Stash makes a good Ginger Peach Green Tea. Yogi Lemon Ginger. Salada Ginger Mango. Trader Joe's Ginger Turmeric. Tea of Life Moringa Ginger. Pukka Three Ginger. Unfortunately they discontinued my favorite tea. It was a black Raspberry Ginger tea from Yogi. I would drink a cup every morning at work. I've been trying to find a suitable replacement but can't seem to find the one. Current favorite non-Ginger tea is Sleepytime Peach by Celestial.

I've tried like 20 teas hot and cold.

The only way it doesn't taste like gross flower juice is if I make it unhealthy as fuck with heaps of sugar.

How does black coffee help you lose weight, besides making you dookie all the time?

Milk chai + Parle G is my shit.

I'm not a fan of Green Tea,but the Strawberry Vanilla flavor makes it taste great.

I'm sort of also in the boat where a lot of tea smells amazing, but then it just tastes like extremely weak leaf water for the most part. The only tea I've had any success with is Chais, the one I have right now at home is Bigelow's Vanilla Chai which I like but still feel like I'd need to be putting milk or something in it which I'd prefer not to do if I don't have to. I mostly drink iced coffee and water, and I usually do the coffee black. I've tried making iced tea once or twice at home but it doesn't go well. What's the secret tea-era?? I don't mind if I have to put just a little bit of something in (I sometimes put just a small amount of cream in my iced coffee, but mostly just for the texture) but I feel like if I have to dump cream and sugar in it I'm missing the point.

I can't find the definitions of both words in english, so what does stewing and brewing mean?

You brew a pot/cup of tea by steeping the leaves, if you do it too long you stew the tea.

"If the tea leaves are left in the hot water too long, they start releasing tannins, which impart a bitter taste to the tea (interestingly, steepinggreen or black tea for a longer period of time, such as 15 minutes, gives a bitter drink with medicinal properties"

Really don't understand the sugar and milk requirement some have for tea....

Beyond some Chai teas, should never be added. Tea has a mild flavor.

This is a weird issue. Like saying "the smell of pizza makes me sick." There are so many kinds, and they all smell different. Maybe just green tea smell makes you sick?
I have tried to drink plenty of variations at differents stages in my life and it is always the same. Probably I was killed by poisoned tea in my past life or something.

I don't think I will ever be able to just drink cofee without some sugar substitute and cream, but chamomile is pretty great for reducing inflammation.

I enjoy it as well but if you put a bunch of sugar in it its basically no better than soda. Most people I see drink it put way too much sugar in it.

Also, Cid approves

Love tea - well, most teas, anyway. Once you get into the herbal stuff it's a lot more hit or miss, although I do like a nice cup of sleepytime tea in the evening.

Mint teas can burn in hell.

I don't really have a preference for green or black or red teas or their variants. I do like a good gunpowder green tea, though, and I'd rather people keep the bergamot out of black tea. It's too flowery - same goes with jasmine or lavender-based teas.

I also have a water boiler at home, which makes it easy to steep a quick cup of tea whenever I feel like it.

I drink a large cup of tea with milk every morning and usually every evening as well. Good way to punctuate the start or end of the day IMO.

I love tea but It's no coffee. One of the nice things about my job is they stock the break room with lots of really nice teas :]

Buy a bunch of dried mint and put it in with your green tea when you brew.

Lapsang (smoked tea) is the real shit. Just brewed up a cup right now.

Green tea is the way to go, I mostly drink Chun Mee. An occasional herbal tea is very nice too, especially if you drink it correspondingly to your aches.

I am still drinking coffee but I am trying to cut that down. I've been at a point where I drank max 1 cup a day and none on some days, but currently I am back at 2 per day. It sucks. Caffeine is a drug just like any other and the withdrawal symptoms are terrible.

I drink asian chai and kashmiri tea every now and then. Used to be a chaiholic, but stopped drinking as much due to health issues.

The minute that I stopped putting sugar on my brewages is when I realized a whole new world of flavors

People look me weird when I tell them that I don't want sugar or saccharine on my Tea or Coffee, but for me now is more weird to see people changing completely the flavor of the drink

I really need to cut down on my cokes. I don't drink alcohol but cokes are pretty much the next worse thing.

The good thing though is that every now and then I do drink teas from time to time. I need to drink it more often, but one step at a time.

On work days I drink two cups of chai.

Chai tea is the only tea I can regularly drink. Everything else is too mild to bother.

Top 5 teas from ya girl:
- Good ol' Tetley black tea, builders brew style. Yorkshire is overrated YEAH YOU HEARD ME
- Four o'clock Gingerbread tea
- Twinings Earl Grey with Orange Blossom
- Teekanne Rooibos Vanilla
- Chai latte haha I tricked you this isn't a real tea but it's the best way to enjoy chai IMO.

Can someone point me to a tea that doesn't have that awful aftertaste that every tea I've had so far has? I don't like this flavor so it's made every tea I've tried so far undrinkable.

You probably don't like the flavour of tannic acid.
try rooibos and/or vanilla tea. They're low in tannins while still being kind of a rich flavour, instead of a bitter herbal-y one.
