Mind you, they're not showing the entire mini-game clip. Other than that, looks really nice. Love the Rhythm Heaven vibes some of the mini-games are going for. Always thought that while Nd Cube's ability to make board games was lackluster, their mini-games were always top notch, and it seems like they still got it in this regard.

Those are definitely mario party mini games. If there could MP 1-7 tier boards and online game would be perfect.

I feel like this video was only made because there is this one video of MP9 mini games with 124 million views.

What's the breakdown on the number of 3v1, 2v2, and free for all games?

Skipped through the video, there seem to be quite a lot of rhythm games towards the end. I don't know if that's a good or a bad sign concerning a multiplayer focused Rhythm Heaven Switch release?!

Between this and Mega Man 11, our Switch will be busy the beginning of next month!

The only Mario Party I've ever played is 10, which I actually enjoyed. So considering that's considered the worst one, I am excited to play this one.

Graphics look really nice and those games look fun. But I don't like the music / sound effects.

I want music like that!

The music for a lot of the games in this video is sort of uhh, not sure how to put it, deflates the mood.

Does this game could be still fun/playable for loners like me who don't have nobody else to play? Those minigames look fun.

Starting at the 10 minute mark, they showcase what looks to be mini-games featuring 4 players and CPUs where there's like 8-12 playable characters on-screen.

Yet this game only supports 4 players locally. Ugh. Bring back 8-player mode!

Once again, most promising Mario Party in a while. Very much look forward to this, however...

...yeah, this. 3 has kind of a low-key great soundtrack imo. They need to bring that composer back for another.

Plus, still not super big on the Wii Sports-ish presentation, but it still looks nice visually.

Looking good. I'm glad Mario Party is going back to form. Sometime during the Gamecube era they really lost their way.

I wish the Switch gets that collection of the top 100 mini games added to this version of the game as DLC.

Unfortunately this Mario Party isn't for me. I know they are never going to make 5/6/7 esque game with full board online. So I just hope if N64 games ever get added to Switch online, that Mario Party is included as well.

Going forward, I wonder if they'r'e gonna re-start the numbering with the new name (Super Mario Party 2, 3, etc.). Nintendo seems to be treating this as a soft-reboot.

That mini-game where you dodge Chargin Chucks looks like something out of Bomberman. A Super Monkey Ball Monkey Fight mini-game is in. Neat. The sfx in this game are hilarious.

The one at 8:50 could so be Overcooked haha.

EDIT: Football as well?! Where's my new Mario Strikers?!

Also, I'd much rather they make Characters, Boards and Minigames Yearly-DLC for this game.

Would be better than sequels as it would just add to the existing game.

There's so many subtle problems with this game that'll hold it way back from being as good as Hudson's best. I kinda want to make a thread about my thoughts on it. It's a shame that whenever a Mario spin-off series loses its way, Nintendo can never get it back on track.

Mario Party lost its way in 2012 (Mario Party 9) and hasn't recovered.

Paper Mario lost its way in 2012 (Sticker Star) and hasn't recovered.

Mario Sports games from Camelot lost their way during the Wii era and haven't recovered.

And that's not even getting into how there's less experimental Mario spin-offs nowadays to begin with. Mario Kart is the only Mario spin-off that I feel is still improving with each installment (and to be fair, if we can only have one Mario spin-off series keep improving, I'm happy it's Mario Kart).

The boards they've shown for this game look bad tbh

Yep, the boards look really shallow and underwhelming.

We're never going to get a MP as good as 6 was ever again. You're right to just hope for the N64 games with online in the (very distant, most likely) future.

I don't know what people see in the Mario Party games past 4, all those played cheaper and lamer with weird board gimmicks.

But I'm still keeping an eye out for the reviews.
