Let's face it - the rich are getting richer. What regular people think is a crazy amount of money is nothing to well off people. US$7100 - people pay that for a first class flight for 6 hours.
I predict earlier access is going to be even worse on the next generation of consoles.
They'll have 4 or 5 tiers with the first and second tiers almost a month early (effectively when the game is gold anyway). Streamers love this and will pay it.
Heck people who don't want to pay $60 wait half a year or more for discounts.
Yeah, that s what the gamescom demo of cp2077 would fetch... But here for mario party xDI mean, I could see a bid like that if the game in question was like Cyberpunk 2077 or Death Stranding but fucking Mario Party?
That is insane.
this just points to dan ryckert trying to make a pretty penny in some scheme and the "cartridge some reviewer dropped in an airport" was his ownWe he got two the same shirt with the US flag? Like a cartoon character
Like Ubisoft does for the 3day early access for the most expensive AC:Ody editions? Or Microsoft with Forza Horizon 4?
Waiting six months to save 30 dollars vs waiting one week to save 7,040 dollars.Heck people who don't want to pay $60 wait half a year or more for discounts.
Welp, so Mario Party spoilers are out there. Time to log off the internet.
thisdefinitely nintendo who paid the $7100 to get it. ninjas already on the way to his house
Damn already? Guess I was...
This would probably happen.it's would be pretty hilarious if the shipping time ends up being so long that the buyer doesn't actually get the game till the games already out
Welp, so Mario Party spoilers are out there. Time to log off the internet.
I don't follow you on this; it will literally be worth much less in a week. There's no way it's going up in price, it's not a special edition or something, it's a normal, very damaged copy of Super Mario Party: you won't be able to resell it for more than a bunch of dollars in two weeks.1. The person paying that much for this most probably isn't paying to play it "one week early" but is paying to own something that is impossible to buy and might be worth more in the future, or at the very least for bragging rights
Loving the low-key Mario Party trolling in this topic when
1. The person paying that much for this most probably isn't paying to play it "one week early" but is paying to own something that is impossible to buy and might be worth more in the future, or at the very least for bragging rights
2. Some people actually genuinely do like this series and play multiplayer games primarily.
Spoiler alert: They didn't buy it to brag. They bought it thinking it's a rare unreleased version, one of its kind. If it ends up being the same cart everyone else gets on 5/10 he will feel like a total loser.Imagine paying $7,100 to brag to people on the internet that you have a game a few days early.
which one of you was it?
Don't give them ideasI hope EA doesn't see this and start offering $1k early play copies or something
Most people are in it for the combined content bonus and early access, not just one or the other. Many of us were buying the ultimate editions prior to the added perk.
This is some really expensive bragging rights. I get it if it was a prototype, but it's just a likely review copy of the retail game.
What game is worth $7000?Of all the games to pay $7000 for to play early, fucking MARIO PARTY.
