I haven't missed a game yet but my least favorite part of origins was the story so if that's being praised hopefully I'm in for a pleasant surprise.
Not yet.

I have not been following the game too closely, but do the NPCs know Kassandra is female? Are they going to be misogynistic assholes to her the whole time?
Also, anything about tightening up the missions/quests?
They react to Alexios and Kassandra the same, I think.
And I dunno about tightening up--there's 300 quests this time around.

Nice!
After getting the last one on both X1X and PC i will defo be going with X1X.
About when you choose which pc you want, the other is thrown off a cliff and becomes an enemy later.
As someone debating between X1X and PC for this one, what was bad about Origins on PC?
PC is the only way to get 60fps on this game. Xbone X and/or PS4 Pro will be at 30, primarily due to CPU issues mentioned above. I bought Origins on PS4 (didn't have my upgrades on my gaming rig then) and I am going with PC for sure (also have Xbox X now).I'd say the PC version is pretty much fine. The only caveat of note is that you need a particularly beefy CPU to maintain 60fps in populous city areas. I myself have an i7 6800K overclocked to 4.2GHz, and running around in the middle of Alexandria can see usage shoot up to ~80% across all 12 threads.
I presume Odyssey will be the same, thus the system requirements Ubi released explicitly mentioning that those specs will get you 30fps.
Pretty much most major VAs for this are Greek-Canadian.
Here is an interview with the actors for Alexios and Kassandra:
That'd be nice if we got one, Ubi does some pretty good CGI trailers.
For PSN, the pre-load usually happens 48 hours before release. If it unlocks on October 2nd then the preload most likely will be available this Sunday (September 30th)So when's the Gold Edition Preload going live on PSN? I'm hyped as hell. Even more hyped than for RDR2 lol
Thx. So one more week to go!For PSN, the pre-load usually happens 48 hours before release. If it unlocks on October 2nd then the preload most likely will be available this Sunday (September 30th)
I dont have a 1080ti so 4k was out of the question and although on ultra settings at 21:9 it looked nice locked at 30fps it didnt have HDR and 4k.As someone debating between X1X and PC for this one, what was bad about Origins on PC?
I don't remember what ship progression in Black Flag was like but in Odyssey your ship has nine slots that let you upgrade and modify the ships health, combat abilites and your crew. You can also assign lieutenants to your ship and their are cosmetic slots to customize how your ship looks. How deep does the ship part go? Is the upgrade path as deep as in black flag?
I think I remember reading somewhere before that the ship system is deep enough, but not as deep as Black Flag. Definitely not as barebone as Origins. How deep does the ship part go? Is the upgrade path as deep as in black flag?
