Man, I wish there's a new game+ so at least there's a reason for me to replay the game sooner than later with this mod.

Thankfully the music itself is only 300+ MBs. Still dog slow but will hopefully have it downloaded before bed.

Despite me getting used to the music like I got used to no voice acting I just knew I could have had a way better experience on that front.
Also the SNES music argument seems kinda shallow in its introspective conclusion, when I hear that my take would be it's all about context. People might enjoy snes music in the context of old games they grew up on since they do associate a certain look to a certain sounds or they can enjoy tracks listening to them outside of the game having the emotional response of remembering gaming memories.
But when those people see a game that looks like DQ11 which is to say a game that looks really good and might even call forth some minor associations to pixar movies due the style and vibe and they hear music that seems like it belongs into a game of a different time it creates a disconnect in them that lessens their experience significantly.
Also doesn't help that the quality of the samples is shoddy as well.
Some of the FMVs had synth music encoded directly into them so they had to be redone with the orchestral music.
I think the site is getting a bunch of traffic and is slowing their servers.
Because this includes copyrighted material. It should not be linked here. The mod literally includes music ripped directly from Symphonic Suite CDs and full FMV videos directly from the game with audio replaced.
It was this slow before the link was officially posted too. They just chose a bad location.

I guess you can buy the OST from Amazon, but then some don't want to support the composer.
most likely because it doesn't make you pay for "premium membership" to download file sizes over 1 GB, if it was any other file hosting site you'd be downloading 20+ files to circumnavigate the download restriction.

How'd they even manage to redo the FMVs by the way? I haven't played the game, but I'm assuming there's music while other sounds potentially happen, right? Like dialogue and stuff? How does one replace the music if that's the case?
The audio streams are separated. That's why the volume controls for music/sfx/voice all work even with FMVs.
