I've decided I can't make my Top 10 till the fall releases.
Also had no idea RDR2 was late October. I'm intrigued especially since it's a prequel meaning I can play it without knowing all of RDR. I'll just miss in jokes right?

So, without getting spoilery, the first RDR does a thing. While I'm not convinced it will, some people think that RDR2 may also do a thing and that might just have zero meaning unless you played the first one.
If you had said this earlier in the year I'd suggest you play the game but I don't want you to burn out a month before the sequel.
Unfortunately due to the asshole nature of the internet, I know what you're talking about. I know what RDR did that was controversial to players. I've had the ending of Red Dead Redemption spoiled. Might just go into this one fresh.
Red dead redemption is like 8 years old at this point. It's not assholish to be spoiled at this point.

I'm going to have to put this higher on my GOTY vote than I want to just because this website is going to slack on recognising this game's greatness.

Maybe someday! I barely watch a Bombcast anymore because when I actually go to watch, another one is about to happen and I tell myself I'll watch that one instead but I never do.

God that Speed Brawl quicklook was bad. If Dan was that disinterested in showing the game, why even bother doing it?
The only way I stay on top of their podcasts (and I am always weeks behind) is listening while doing running errands, cooking or working out.
I can listen/half-watch their videos just fine while working, but podcasts vex me.

If you read the (mostly ignored) backstory Guerrilla Games created for the series, it shows the ISA basically doomed an entire society to hardship on Helghan. They were such broken and beaten people that when Visari rose to power, his words were music to the peoples' ears.

Honestly, if Guerrilla Games ever returned to the franchised (or if Sony farmed it out), I'd love to see some games set in this earlier period.
In my opinion, there is such a richness to this backstory (apparently written by some Hollywood writer) and its a shame they basically just ignored it all. I'd even be interested in books set in this period if new games are out of the question.

I played 3 hours of Destiny 2 and I think I'm done. It's the same repetitious, grindy loop as always. It hasn't changed a bit.
