It's never once. The WH source is likely biased so we have no way of knowing whether there's actual evidence this time or if it's all allegations again. Even still, a second woman pretty much explains why the process has been delayed. I've been saying for days that Kavanaugh will be confirmed but now...ehhhhh....

This may be an ignorant question but is there any means to have a sitting Supreme Court judge impeached, or is it all at the mercy of when they decide to retire?
If there is an additional woman, or even more, then it will be really interesting to see what happens as a result. The votes are there, so it's really just an optics decision. Based on the GOP's reaction to Ford, they clearly think they can get away with confirming him, but what happens when there's multiple women? Kavanaugh can withdraw and another judge can be nominated, but what's the GOP's math on how bad they're willing to look in order to get a guaranteed seat on the court before midterms?
At this point trying to confirm is going to cause more damage than it's worth, the only roadblock to shoving him out of the way is Trump being stubborn as fuck.

It's possible Farrow and Avenatti are on different tracks. Avenatti is a pretty cunning guy so he sees this as a chance to capitalize on the rumor buzz going around on Twitter regarding Farrow. He wants to connect himself to his name.

If any two Republican senators don't vote for him he can't be confirmed. In practice that's likely two of corker, flake, murkowski and Collins. Since, you know, the rest are black holes of corruption that hate women.
As disgusting as it sounds, I think they only try to save face if it's more than two women
