I think Capcom's doing fine on Switch now. They're bringing over lots of legacy content, modern games that make sense for the platform (like Mega Man 11), and we know they're bringing new MH games to the system in the future. As long as the older RE games get re-released as well, I'll be happy.

This is of course crucial.

Portable. Resident. Evil. 4. On a cartridge.

Please...

They have always been.

Despite some of their blunders every now and then, they have made some of my fav games ever.

I'm over the moon that I can play Mega Man 1-11, Mega Man X-X8, an arcade-perfect Final Fight.

Now where is that. Damn. Disney. Afternoon. Collection.[/QUOTE]

I'm assuming you mean for the Switch. *Has* to be a matter of time now, given that any concerns about the Switch's market reception have been emphatically squashed by now. I'm hoping for a physical copy( sorry if this counts for port-begging, I don't know how the rules on that work here).

I've bought all their Switch games. Yes I know I'm part of the problem.

Still waiting on Dragon's Dogma, Disney Afternoon and RE4-6 Capcom.

They're slowly-but-surely making their way back to my favorite. I mean, they've always been up there, but it's been a while since they were the top dog in my eyes. Capcom's just a few good decisions away from reattaining CapGod status.

A Switch port of the Disney Afternoon Collection would require Disney to sign off on it getting ported, given how hands-on they are with their licenses.

What? that's not fine, all their most important games are not here. If for you only re-releases means fine... because that's basically what you're getting. All their biggest projects skip the Switch.

Wii had all the Gamecube RE games + Umbrella Chronicles 11 months after launch and the Darkside Chronicles two years after. The last two were new games, not re-releases. Switch only got the two Revelations as remasters so far.

That's just one example because Wii had basically all the Capcom goodies. (from Monster Hunter to Street Fighter and Mega Man)

SFV -> PS4 Exclusive so not on Switch
RE7 -> only cloud in Japan (basically it's not available)
MHW -> not on the Switch
RE2 Remake -> not on the Switch
DMC5 -> not on the Switch (never asked for it but still)

Hopefully AA7 will be on the Switch, not sure at this point.

About MH we'll see, they made it clear at E3 that Gen U came out in the West only because of the backlash which is both good and bad. Good because they listened to the feedbacks, bad because they had no plans for MH on the Switch whatsoever.

Mega Man 11 is here. Yay! (it's okay, probably not the best MM based on what i've played from the demo, with underwhelming music and a very weird run animation)

So i stand with my previous statement, i can't enjoy something i cannot play. Good for them i guess.

Yeah, pretty much the same. But we need Deep Down to end up being some thing real and all can be forgiven

Any thoughts as to why they haven't yet? I mean that game has been out for over a year now and heavily requested( and originally NES games, which makes their omission even weirder imo).

Monster Hunter World is PS4 console exclusive in Asia, so Capcom likely can't justify a Switch port that can't be released in Japan. As for Ace Attorney, the leak that mentioned 123 HD & 456 HD also mentioned that 7 will be coming to the Switch, so I wouldn't worry (plus 123 HD did indeed come out on Switch).

Your guess is as good as mine. I agree that Disney should have either signed off on a Switch port or have suggested the idea to Capcom by now, so it's kinda weird that Capcom &/or Disney are dragging their feet on that front.

The Switch versions of those games would've ran just as well as they'd run on your mid laptop.

Yeah since RE7/Rev2 they have been changing for the better, even closed their only western studio after that terrible Dead Rising game

See but Wii managed to have all the Capcom goodies since the launch of the system. Yes it didn't have RE5 but it got Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles earlier, so Wii users were covered.

Here there is no mainline game, and there is no spin-off, you get nothing. yay!

Monster Hunter World is the best game they've made in decades. So I'm feeling sympathetic to this concept.

Well you're not alone, as this thread has shown. Two of my most hyped games for next year are from Capcom: Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry V. I still think they have quite a ways to go in other aspects, mainly with regards to their Switch support and I believe some versions of their legacy collections have some problems, but they've improved a lot across the board and I can safely say I'm a fan once again

I don't see how that changes his point

If they really loved me, they would re-release Breath of Fire 3

On the PlayStation 4 (or the new ps1)

But I'm really digging Capcom again. They were my favorite publisher in 99.

They had me back at MH World. I just can't believe it took them this long to realize an action game would be so much more suited to big screens and comfy controls.

As long as all they do is sequels and remakes/remasters they still aren't back to the old heights.
I miss the Capcom of the ps2 era when we got all sorts of new projects. They're so afraid to try anything remotely new now, mainly living of their past work.
I enjoy sequels as much as the next person but I also enjoy getting new games that might turn out to be a new favorite of mine. Imagine if the Capcom of old were this afraid to try new things, we'd never have gotten games like Ace Attorney.

Yeah... no.

I don't like their direction "let's try to make every franchise bigger" because they're forgetting that some of these experience were so great on portable systems, now the portable versions are just there as the lesser version. (Not cool anymore)

Plus the fact that they are so buddy with Sony means i won't be able to play most of their games, because i have a low-end laptop and a Switch, that's a very egoistic perspective i know but it is what it is. I can't enjoy something i cannot play.

I'm almost tempted to buy you a PS4 if it means having to read fewer of these posts from you.

Yeah Capcom is really knocking out of the park lately.

Almost everything they touch is amazing. CapGod is back.

Next please bring back Breath Of Fire.

I'll agree with this. Capcom is absolutely killing it right now. What a time to be alive. It's like we are witnessing a japanese games renaissance right now. Im excited for the future.

The Onimusha re-release makes me think we're getting a new entry at some point.

Next up, can we get a Ghosts 'n Goblins / Gargoyle's Quest compilation + a new 2D game in either (or both!) franchises??

honestly, they're the best publisher on the ps4. they've did a fantastic job on the platform

they're also the worst publisher on switch, but that's because they've got no interest in it

I would agree but they give you the option of paying like $2 for some red orbs you could earn in a couple hours so they're actually terrible again I guess.
