Fuck. I just ran into a story scripted phone call but was nearby a random crime, so the phone call stopped. I was pissed because I feared on missing out a important detail for the next mission, but after I finished the chase, Peter called again MJ, excused for laying her off and she contiuend where she stopped. Goddam. This is the first time a game had a solution like this.

that blew my mind

Just beat all of the challenges and
defeated Taskmaster.

Some tough challenges but soon got the hang of them with a little trial and error and got 100% on them all.

I'm still really enjoying the game, taking my time to do all the side content as it pops up, which isn't something I don't do very often in open world games but when the gameplay is this good, it doesn't feel tidius at all.

I've still not even got to the Raft part of the story yet lol

Got this last week and forgot to share in this thread.

Kind of wish there was a trophy for getting Ultimate on all the challenges, kind of hard to share that achievement unless I take a picture of all the challenge screens.

Any news on NG+?

Just finished it.

I think this is the best piece of Spider-Man media I've seen/enjoyed (outside of comics oc).

When this game romours started I was fine with a game that'd let me swing around and had decent everything else.

What I've received is a game I've enjoyed immensely, with a responsive, fluid, amazing gameplay and a great take on characters I've known since forever.

My congratulations to Insomniac for a masterpiece that's already a gigantic success and the wish to see a sequel sooner than later.

Also, more Ratchet.

Ok guys I m loving the game but I have one huge criticism for insomniac .

Why the hell did they show so much into the game at the events ? I would have loved be surprised by end of act2 that they showed in e3 2018. I mean come on .why did you show something so far into the game .

No one was upset by that ?
This is why I'm glad that I didn't care about this game until the week it came out. The only thing I had watched was since swinging around and that e3 demo of the prison break. Oh wait, I also watched the Martin Li chase scene. I'm still mad I watched those two clips because then I already knew too much from the jump but oh well. Moral of the story: going in blind is the best thing ever.

The more and more I play it, the less I think of it.

-The open world stuff is fun for a few hours then it becomes bleh.

- Story is good to great

- I wish the swinging had much more things to do. I feel like I mastered it within 2 hours and then that was it. I wanted there to be a lot more

- I really hated the vast majority of suits. That's nitpicky but I only liked 3 suits. Wish they were better

- stealth missions suck aside from Grand central station

- the Martin Li saga was wrapped up horribly and left me thinking, that's it?

- i wish they tied the gadgets to side missions instead of consumables. The base stuff isn't fun to do after the first time

- actually get rid of consumables all together. Keep the backpacks as Easter eggs and optional things and tie the gadgets and suits to story/side missions. Much like sunset overdrive

- Make the random crimes and robberies just drop generic money that can be used to buy upgrades for everything even skill points.

- The skill trees seem undercooked

It's a good base but there's a lot left to be desired. The swinging is fun but there's gotta be more than that. I can't just say it's a perfect game because the traversal is fun

Having grown up on the 90's animated series and seeing different interpretation of the character over the years in movies and cartoons and now this game I have to say I vastly prefer Peter Parker as a young adult over a teenage kid. It's probably why I still consider Spiderman 2 the best movie and why the last MCU movie just wasn't as enjoyable for me though it is good.

Maybe it's because of the animated series because I see that as my Spiderman, I understand he was a teenager when created in the comics but I don't read comics. Definitely gotta say Insomniac made the right call with having an experienced Spidey it just made the interactions and story more meaningful to me, it showed growth of the character.

This is absolutely not the first time a game has had a solution for this.

There have been plenty of games to do this kind of thing. Ghost recon wildlands is the most recent I can think of.

But I've played several games where the other character stops talking as you run around like an idiot, then you stop they'll say something like "so anyway.." and then continue the conversation.

Just got my first platinum ever, don't really care about trophies. But all I had to do when I finished everything else was the puzzles in the lab so I did those. The puzzles are fine in small doses but I would not recommend binging them.

The only thing I have left is one secret photo, hopefully I'll come across it working on the dlc cause I don't wanna scour town for it.

I'm bummed I'm out of stuff to do. Just have to wait for Hollow Knight to come out which should keep me busy for a while, hopefully til the dlc or NG+ comes out.

You can't sadly. I am stuck on 25/28 after 100% the game.

Here's what I did to get all 28, was pretty simple.

- Touchpad to open the main menu
- Scroll over to the 'Collections' tab
- Go down and select 'Newspapers'
- Now individually open and close each newspaper shown one at a time.

That should work, now check the nearest paper box to confirm it states 28/28

Just finished the game an hour ago. I may do some more open world stuff later, but wow bring on the sequel!

What a game!!! The last act of the game was just crazy and firing on all cylinders, and the story was a huge highlight that I didn't give much thought going into this. I enjoyed the story in this game more than any Spider-Man movie that came after Spider-Man 2.

Good job Insomniac, y'all nailed it!!

God of war did this if you got off the boat in the middle of the story. Get back on and they pick up where they left off.

I just got to that dreamlike sequence with Mr. Negative. Loving the game so far. What percentage would u say I am for the story? It's a super long game it looks like.

Finally finished this game and my god was it awesome. Such a high quality single player game, absolute ace from beginning to the end. Now I can't decide if GOW or this will be my game of the year. What a freaking game, but one things is for sure, it's the best marvel game ever created.

And who the hell said in their reviews that the story isn't anything special? Suck it, the story was amazing.

How awesome is the moment when you realize that you meet Miles Morales in the game and he's a big part of the main story until you really realize that this of course isn't the origin story of Peter Parker, but the origin story of Miles Morales.

And then the end where Peter has to let aunt May die to save all the others.
If this story wasn't "special" enough, then I have no idea what crazy things some people expected.

Can you only take pictures of a certain amount of landmarks early on?
No, as long as you have the Landmark ability unlocked (story progression) and the towers unlocked in that area you can get them all.

There is also secret photo-ops that don't count towards the Landmark total in each district.

I have all the towers unlocked, but the "subject in frame" message isn't appearing (took three without any issue when I first got the ability).

Question

I am currently
Dr octavius just released the devil's breath. How far I am from completing the main store ?

Also , after that event there is chaos everywhere in the city. What do I need to complete to get the platinum trophy ? Every corner there are thugs shooting at me.

I kind of feel overwhelmed now, don't know what I can or can't ignore .

Are you sure you are aiming it at the correct object?

You can ignore the randos everywhere (red dots), but will still need to complete the random crimes that pop-up. The map will tell you what you need to do in the section.

There are times where it looks like you brutally murder people.

I was fighting on a construction rooftop, air launched a guy then pulled him down with web.
He hit his back directly on the side rail, folded like a lawn chair, then fell off the skyscraper.

Spidered!

Waiting for those crimes at the end was the most sucky part but overal very doable when you figure how to most effectively take out dudes real fast in stealth and combat missions, Spider-Bro helped out a lot in the end.

Platinum is within reach.

Doing those Fisk and Demon base missions has led to some cool combat moments. I have greater appreciation for the combat with how slick it all can be.

I seriously thought Spider-man was killing dozens of people every time they fell off a building until I finally saw what happens when they fall off (they automatically get webbed to the side of a building somehow).

- The skill trees seem undercooked
The problem with skill trees is usually in this kind of casual game they make all the skills unnecessary to do anything because they can be gotten in any order. The game has to account for every player not having any given skill, so the game's challenge never progresses beyond what can be accomplished with the base tools.
- I wish the swinging had much more things to do. I feel like I mastered it within 2 hours and then that was it. I wanted there to be a lot more
Yeah, the skill ceiling is unfortunately low for the main mechanic of a lengthy game.
