My partner and I decided to drive from Illinois to Florida. We are staying at Nalcrest because I get super cheap rates there. We left Friday and arrived yesterday around 6am.

We went to Vero Beach yesterday and just relaxed because the drive was exhausting.

Monday we are going to Disney. Tuesday is a Disney water park. We drive back Wednesday morning.

But what should we do today that isn't ridiculously expensive? Lol.

Umm what part of Florida are you in exactly? Why not go down to Ft. Laud and Miami. You'll have plenty and plenty to do there. Maybe even The Keys.

As to my suggestion, maybe explore the Everglades?

Edit: sorry just saw the location

Hit up Disney Land.

Or Miami.

Or the keys.

Or just hit up the beach.

Orlando has a couple cool arcade bars -- Player 1 is great.

On International Drive they also have the world's highest swing ride called the Starflyer -- it looks like it would be totally thrilling/terrifying:

Which Disney park(s)? If you haven't already done so, download the My Disney Experience App and reserve your Fastpasses.

If the popular rides are sold out, keep refreshing. If you refresh enough, lots of new times and peeviously unavailable rides will pop back up for you. The easiest way to refresh is to just tap the Morning button (or any of the time slots), then check to see what's changed from there.

The ones to look our for are Seven Dwarves Mine Trains (MK), Flight of Passage (AK), Slinky Dog Dash (HS), and Frozen/Test Track (Epcot).

Also, the earlier you burn through your first 3 Fastpasses, the better, as you can then get one at a time back to back after each use for the rest of the day. Plan right, and you can Fastpass your way though all the rides.

Also, I'd highly prioritize Animal Kingdom. Both Pandora rides, the Kilimanjaro Safari, and Expedition Everest are my favorite attractions in the entire resort. Epcot's Food and Wine Festival is also great, but if you haven't already been to Disneyland or Magic Kingdom, MK takes priority.

Avoid Hollywood Studios. It's lame right now, a lot of it is under construction, and Toy Story Land is a letdown.

Typhoon Lagoon IMO is better than Blizzard Beach. They just opened Misadventure Falls last year, and it's pretty awesome.

As far as dining is concerned, I can recommend quick serve or sit down resrauresta for each park depending on your price range, too.

Have a blast, and let me know if you have any questions!

My girlfriend, a Bostonian, went to Florida for the first time earlier this year. She was absolutely bored out of her mind. Essentially, the only few things that come to mind are Daytona Beach, Disney World and Universal Studios.

Why did you drive all the way down to Vero Beach? And then stop?

Anyway, go to the beach. It's one of things Florida is known for

We went to the aquarium today!

As for Disney, we aren't doing any fast passes or anything. There's more to experience than rides, isn't there? Like I said, we did this on a whim and didn't plan. Lol.

I personally like the Universal parks better.
Whatever you do , do not go to Disney studios ..(unless they they opened up that star wars village yet. ) what a waste of money that was.
Either way hope you are having a blast. these kind of trips can be awesome.
