Shiieeet, the Silent Hill composer working on Death Stranding? Damn.

But wasn't Ludvig Forssell working on the game?
I believe Forssell is still working on the game. Maybe there will be two composers for Death Stranding? We'll see in a couple days. Because if this is true, that'll be amazing.

A while ago, Kojima also tweeted a picture of himself and Idris Elba. And Kojima has also been retweeting a lot of stuff with Ryan Gosling in it (more recently the film First Man, which deals with Neil Armstrong and the moon landing. The years for the movie span from 1961 all the way to 1969, close to MGS 3 in terms of the 1960s.)

Keep in mind as well the Kojima Productions movie logo posted in the OP which is also set on the moon. The "origin story" of Kojima Productions new mascot.

Did this surprise you? I am not surprised at all. In fact I was just waiting for a similar confirmation that is all. If Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito, the old pals of Kojima whom used to see everyday when he goes to work and hangs out with are not in, who else would be? Masahiro Ito already worked on the connecting bridge which is MGS Survive and now Yamaoka is in and must be there for a long time (the musical themes we heard in the trailers are very reminescent of Silent Hill and his work).

In fact Kojima is working with multiple musicians and bands in this game: Low Roar, Silent Poets, Slowdive and T.A.T.U with the latters just waiting to be officially confirmed soon (T.A.T.U song Silent Hills has even the silent hill theme so mostly Yamoka composed it).

The game itself has 2 directors who are Kojima and Del Toro in different degrees of involvement. Jungi Ito is involved mostly in the scary grotesque designs of things and Masahiro Ito is mostly involved in the design of meaningful symbolic stuff like the monsters: those figures that look like the MGS Survive ones he did, and the demon war machines that he kept tweeting continously, Yoji Shinkawa is involved in real character designs like always. So they game has 3 art designers.
Why 2 great sound and music directors can't be in? Ludvig is mostly occupied with the war action themes and realistic sounds while Yamaoka is handling the scary sounds and the atmospheric creepy and moving music.

Also, like I said in my previous post, just check whom Kojima is following in his twitter you will get an idea who might be in the game. The early leaks confirmed Lindsay Wagner and Léa Seydoux, now Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Idris Elba (btw in the E3 trailer, me and many noticed the voice of the first person who is contacting Sam is Idris Elba, the one before the actor who plays Guillermo Del Toro character starts talking and both are supposed to be support characters according to the same leaks and this is not far fetched because they are both supporting him in the game), Cumberbatch, Gilian Anderson, Blake Lively and many more may be in the game. One thing is sure is that Ron Perlman is in the game since Guillermo Del Toto is mostly suggesting the actors and Perlman is his mascot actor that he puts in almost every movie. Kojima is following him. So you get the idea.

One of the leaks suggested a very important actor that Kojima is big fan of and that no one should expect which will constitute a huge surprise in video games. I bet he is Hugh Jackman. Just Kojima tweets. To get an idea how obssessed he is with him.

"I see that town"

At the 0:55 mark, these trees are similar looking to the strands as shown in Death Stranding. Probably reaching there, but just a thought I had.

This is absurd levels of speculating, even for kojima/metal gear fans.

Yeah, I don't follow many people in Twitter or Instagram.

I know Junji Ito was working on Silent Hills, but did he ever say he was working on Death Stranding ?

Jezus.. talk about going to deep.

As some said above, just because he likes something on twitter doesnt mean he is working with them. This is bananas levels of speculation and there is very little proof of anything you mentioned here. You are seeing ghosts man.

Most of this is just laughable misinformation.

Del Toro is not directing the game in any capacity. He is an avatar/puppet for a character in the game. All those actors you said are likely to be in the game because of Kojima tweets and people visiting his studio whilst in Japan, and especially that Ron Perlman connection (because of Del Toro) is a load of absolute nonsense.
LMAO, so the man who created (and has affection for) MGS, stuck a MGS patch on his backpack, means there's a connection? The desperation to connect anything and everything is real. Death Stranding is a Sony Interactive Entertainment property, Metal Gear and Silent Hill are Konami properties. There is nothing connected about any of these properties. There is more chance of there being a Horizon Zero Dawn cross-over.

Can also confirm that one of the other things isn't true as well. Just because Kojima tweets about stuff he likes it doesn't mean it's all in Death Stranding! He's a human who likes stuff - not always stuff related to work!

My main hope is that somewhere in some aspect of this game we get to revisit some horror elements akin to what we saw in PT. Kojima knows how well that was received and it would be a shame if he decided against doing anything like that or touching on it.

The speculation that comes with Kojima projects can be fun to read at times, really.

The Death Stranding is secretly Metal Gear is secretly Silent Hills conspiracies are fucking obnoxious and nonsensical.

It's like some people just want him to make Metal Gear games till he croaks.

I hope this game has really good bosses.

Playing Peace Walker right now and man, if these tanks are supposed to substitute for stuff like MGS1-4 provided, that's awful. I've read MGSV is even worse in this regard.

Give us some good boss fights Kojima

The A.I. boss fights in PW are pretty good. The second boss fight with Peace Walker at the end is one of my favorites.

Well the people that make those theories don't want it to be just another MGS-adjacent game

Can't stand it either. I first laughed, then it gets annoying.

PT is also a Sony property.
I said Metal Gear and Silent Hill, not P.T.

Who owns Silent Hill (or Silent Hills)? Additionally, if Sony owned P.T. and there was this overarching connection between it, Metal Gear and everything else that Kojima would go on to create for PlayStation, then why was it Konami that completely nuked that content from the PlayStation Store? And that says what exactly about the desperate absurdities that this guy posts, and how the community that thinks everything Kojima tweets about or does is a sign or is connected? I'm sure Kojima doesn't mind people speculating about all of this, probably is flattered that people are passionate enough to do that, but it doesn't make the theories any less stupid.

Here is the time of Kojima Production's panel at TGS 2018!

Can't wait! Really hoping we see the game itself. Even if it's another teaser, cutscene, or character reveal - something small, just anything, honestly. I don't need to see "actual" gameplay that people keep clamoring for, because I know the man has a plan and quite frankly, that aspect has never once concerned me with Kojima. But between all of the teasing and merchendise being sold at this particular event, it would be nice to get something of substance out of it, as well.

For me there is only two options to see a new metal gear or a remake:

1) konami makes a new one itself, but with the focus of the company not in the AAA market it will not be the typical AAA game, something smaller.

2) konami lisence the IP to sony like marvel did with spiderman and sony can decide to give it to kojama productions for a new one or a remake. Sony take the financial risk and konami stays rellevant in teh gaming industry.

PS. if it didn't for the bad way kojima break up with konami i could see death stranding to use some ideas/material/connections withboth PT and metal gear.

I am more confused after reading this thread than before.
The long and short of it (from what can be gleaned from PT's hidden art, Kojima's trips through Normandy and other parts of Europe, and the extremely fast conceptual development from his firing to the E3 2016 reveal), is that this game has existed in some form conceptually since Kojima was at Konami. It's only natural that a designer as self referential as Kojima would have some similar visual cues and design traits in his new game. This game doesn't actually have anything to do with any Konami IP, unless you believe Kojima is actually willing to get sued.

Some people just have overactive imaginations.

It's 2:55 here in Japan right now, so it starts in about 35 minutes. I was gonna see it in person cause I'm in the area, but TGS is so packed that I'd rather watch it in the comfort of a Shinkansen.
