I can't believe Brett Ratner made these 2 great movies.

my fav scene is at the end of Rush hour 2 when Tucker tells Jackie to kill the bad guy instead of arresting him.

The movies are running purely on the strength of their screenplay. Imagine if an actually-good director had directed the movies. Someone like Shane Black, already known for buddy films.
