Was DMC4: SE not released physically in US?

Digital only and is on sale quite frequently. So unless you really want to play it today, you could just keep an eye out. :p

I got a Chinese version with English language.

But there's some weird stuff in it where the in-game text defaults to Chinese depending on your OS setting, which is annoying. I think it's to do with English (US) and English (UK).

Also saves are not cross compatible with digital versions in different regions if that matters

Playable Vergil, Lady, and Trish during the campaign and bloody palace is the biggest difference.

As for what it has that the original doesn't:

-PC version's Legendary Dark Knight mode (more enemies to fight at a time) and Turbo mode
-playable Vergil, Lady, and Trish
-retooled Red Orb and Proud Souls distribution
-JP audio
-some extra costumes and colors
