Asking because this picture popped up in a 4chan thread and none of us in Discord have managed to find a source of the model that matches, fan made or otherwise - that is assuming we don't actually have a real, veritable picture leak on our hands for once.

I did and there's nothing that immediately stuck out unless the person dug deep for it. I think only two pachislot machines exist for Street Fighter, one of which is SFII based and one which is SFIV based. The SFIV one in particular seems to feature Ken a little here and there but the definition doesn't match up; the SFIV CG models are too "clean".
Steve is not a character, it's a 3D model. It's not Steve who represents Minecraft, it's Minecraft itself and its recognizable aesthetic. Steve is just purely a bad choice.
Nobody told Mojang's marketing and merchandise departments that Steve doesn't represent Minecraft

Perhaps we should go back to discussing a character that the whole thread likes.

I hope Steve gets in just so we can have a Smash character originating from Sweden. UK and the US had theirs already.
So I went through every screenshot on the site and I haven't seen Mappy on Moray with that angle anywhere.
One thing did stick out though.
The general angle of Moray's lighting (light source stems from the right) lines up with the angle at which Ken is highlighted.

It's funny that everything from the Street Fighter series has been underwhelming because we knew about so much in advance.
The way the screenshot is framed makes it look like something that would go up on the website. I don't know how long in advance they make these.

I remember that old Sakurai quote where he mentioned not wanting to add characters from fighting games because they would be too predicable or something (unless that was made up like many other Sakurai quotes and Smash lore). That's how I've always felt about them too. I'm not hating on Street Fighter or the characters themselves, though. I just prefer characters who don't have a built-in fighting moveset.
That picture has a lot going on in it that I feel like we don't usually see in fakes. But fakes only get better and better so who knows.

I asked to be on team more than two, but just sayin it again since the list is made now.
That's how I've felt about every Echo Fighter/clone since Melee.
I understand why they are a thing, but they are not necessarily good for hype.
Leak is fake but more importantly I got Octopath which is amazing and good and nice put the music in Smash

Something worth pointing out; Nintendo's had a strict "no direct feed" policy when it comes to recording footage of the game in public events, and I don't believe any Nintendo footage has the stage paused to open up this kind of perspective. I don't think there's any way you could get Moray from that particular angle without doctoring it yourself.
Ken always seemed like an Echo pick because he's easy and not because he would be an interesting character. Like everyone knows Chun Li would be a better second SF rep but everyone is rooting for Ken because he could easily be put in the game as a Ryu echo. If he does get in the game, I will just be like "well, that's him..."Ken is a boring character.
