Also all these Steve gifs are slowly starting to turn me against the whole idea. You can not animate that model and have it not look terrible.

They have actual personalities and character design (besides being created by Nintendo). You just don't like them. The "character" you're using to mock them has no design or personality at all. It also doesn't even represent its game well as it's more about building and personalization than an ugly block character created by the worst and most toxic industry personality
The biggest reason why I dont think he is in.
Besides the biggest draw of minecraft is its world and its interactivity. I think we are getting a destructible stage and a creeper AT and thats about it.

This doesn't sound that farfetched if, as speculated, the S-E rep is DLC, so work on the character could be extremely early in development. Hence, very few people would be certain about its inclusion.
