Just tried using Transparency AA in NVCP and it really does get rid of a lot of the shimmering in trees, but 4x does have a noticeable performance cost. Gonna try with multisampling instead, and also check whether the new optimized Nvidia drivers (heads up!) improve performance in the demo.

I needs it. I feel bad cause I skipped on Forza Horizon 3 when it was really good but I felt burnt out on Forza since they started doing yearly releases but I'm back this year. These games are fun, relax feel good stress free for me. I just enjoy the races and the environments. This year looks super cozy and releasing as it gets colder so I'm definitely getting this.

New NVIDIA driver out, is 'Game Ready' for Forza Horizon 4, will be interesting to see if it brings significant performance improvements - as the results at the moment suggest it's not optimal for NVIDIA cards (AMD's cards shouldn't be beating NVIDIA's as they are). There was a similar situation with Forza 7 iirc, they released a driver update and that brought about a significant performance improvement - but that was a bit after launch iirc.

Here's Microsoft's blurb from the Game Pass FAQ:

Discounts are based on the Microsoft Store price and are tiered based on the game's global launch date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game's launch date, members receive up to 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game's launch date, members receive up to a 20% discount. For game add-ons and consumables, Xbox Game Pass members receive up to a 10% discount from the day the add on is released.

playing the demo now. it's amazing, bought the game.

is there a way to save progress in the demo or do I need to complete everything in one go?

playing through it for the second time because I stopped half way through to launch another app heh. don't mind tho. it's really great.

seriously. I love dash cam, but sometimes it's too tight and only some games get it perfect.

this is a really good dash cam. it feels really good.

Has anyone got hdr to work on pc version? If so, what did you do? Setting the nvidia setting to 422 12bit and enabling the HDR toggle in windows just makes the game look worst with faded green tint colors or the entire game becomes green.

FYI - the fix for this issue is now available. Just go to Windows Update, install the latest updates, and you should get this:

You'll know you have the right version if you're on 17134.319 or higher when you go to start --> winver.

  • Interesting trivia, there is an updated Granular high quality sound bank file called "I4TM_RallyEvo_Eng" which is interesting...looks they are still allowed to use Mitsubishi sound files!
I have no idea what this could mean...day 1 car pack update featuring a few new models, some returnign classics from FM4 and some DLC cars from FM7? It's certainly very curious...especially as we have NEW cars in this list.

Very interesting stuff! Ooo I love updates to files before release :D.

Has anyone been able to preload successfully on Windows? I got to the 64gb point and the download just keeps on going. It's like it's downloading all over again but increasing the final file size constantly. Any suggestions?

tried the demo again toninght and the audio issue I had on PC is gone. I can hear everything now.

If it stays like this at Launch PC will be my platform of choice I think
