Best game.
Will need to see the games list before getting excited. You could totally do all this with a PSP or PSTV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm half tempted to eventually get a PSP, the Vita was great but feels like so much was cut off and good god the memory card situation of that thingDamn straight! I got a PSP off eBay for 40 bucks, complete with box. Installed CFW, Ripped my games (Twisted metal games, WWF, both Doom games, plus much more) i love it!
Need Warhawk, Twisted Metal, Jet Moto, Bushido Blade and some Colony Wars!
Little different then the 3DS. It'll be connected to a device that can power it via USB 99.99 percent of the time. 3DS won't be.So does the snes classic and that gives you a ac adapter. Does this really not come with one? This is the new 3ds xl all over again.
Well the existence of this and its inevitable success will reduce the possibility of BC on PS5.Unless you have inside info, I don't think this excludes the possibility of BC on PS5. After all, we still have no idea what the hell the PS5 will be...
I read the op (not mentioned) and jumped to the last few pages to see someone ask and get dismissed like it's not a big deal. Not saying what all 20 games are also has me cautious.

You're really underestimating just how popular the PSone was (the combined sales of the NES and SNES are just barely more than it) and how much it meant to a lot of people. I'd actually think with how popular the Crash collection has been that people would realize just how nostalgic are for that period. Yeah, you had some gamers that grew up on the NES/SNES. But the PSone was mainstream to a degree that it brought in a lot of new people who grew up with that console. They don't have nostalgia for Mario, Zelda or Metroid. They instead think of games like FF7, Crash, GT, Spyro, MGS etc. That was their childhood. And it has this

SNES and NES didn't need it.
Ok now I don't even understand what this is anymore so it does have a power cord?
Hey, that's fine, but the subject has probably come up, no exaggeration, over 100 times in this very thread.
Sorry, it's just been brought up a lot.

They were supposed to, mine did iirc and I don't remember having any issues with that when I still worked at gamestop like with the 3ds. Sounds like yours was missing or someone oppened it before you and removed it. One of the worst problems with nintendo is lack of a seal on thier boxes.
Shit, I already preordered but now I am tempted to buy a second one to keep sealed.
Me too.Shit, I already preordered but now I am tempted to buy a second one to keep sealed.
you don't need to mod anything for a pstv. You can play ps1 games on it already. Can you still mod PlayStation TVs to run PSOne games? What are the stipulations with that.
there is a ps4 theme with the ps1 boot up sounds, and it's free I thinkI honestly don't know why Sony hasn't brought this back yet. It's so iconic, and nostalgic as fuck. I mean it's not like people completely power off their consoles all the time, they're usually on standby these days. But it would be cool as hell to be treated to an updated version of that boot screen whenever you power on the PS5.
I mean games that aren't on PSN.you don't need to mod anything for a pstv. You can play ps1 games on it already.
Can you not pre-order now just in case and cancel down the line if the list isn't to your liking?I'm not that interested until all of the games are revealed and if there will be any regional differences in the game lists.
I bought two SNES classics. One came with one and one didn't. It was weird because the one that didn't said that it did not contain an ac adapter on the box. Both were NA versions.
Oh.. easy. I don't even think you need a computer tbh. It's been a while since my bro did mine.
Yeah you get a USB cord. You just don't get the adapter so you can plug it into an outlet.Ok now I don't even understand what this is anymore so it does have a power cord?
Of PS1 titles. I don't know many who were expecting BC for PS1 discs on PS5.
You more than likely can, but I'm probably not going to get it anyway since it's a little too pricey for me lol.Can you not pre-order now just in case and cancel down the line if the list isn't to your liking?
The controllers are USB and I would expect the games to run like they did on the PS3 and Vita unless stated otherwise in the future.I have so many questions:
Will it support the original PS1 controllers?
Will it have an alternate version with the dualshock(2 joysticks)?
Will it run games at better framerates? 30? 60?
Will it have anti aliasing or filter options?
Will it have resolution options?
What will the memory card slots do?
Is it smaller than the PS One(re-released Playstation 1 that was tiny)?
Add in downloading the PS1 games I bought digitally and it would be fucking outstanding. What if they made it wifi enabled and you could sign into your psn account to play online and earn ps1 classic system exclusive trophies. Would you be more or less interested?

Well Sony's much better at meeting hardware demand than Nintendo, so they shouldn't be impossible to find. This would be awesome and make this a must buy. This is already a tempting console as is, I just hope it isn't available for a limited time. I'm spending way too much this fall already XD
