What Nintendo IP do you expect to be omitted from Smash Ultimate?

Isaac and Ray were Assist Trophies in Brawl but not in 3DS/Wii U. They haven't been seen in Ultimate yet either
Not even a trophy or a song? I dunno, there's very few Nintendo IP that haven't even gotten that much. Startropics is one example, but I can't think of many others. In smash 4 games like Baten Kaitos, Sakura Samurai, and Freakyforms got remixes, and Zangeki no Reginleiv, Fossil Fighters, and Fatal Frame got trophies. So those kinds of things have some pretty deep pulls. This time around I wouldn't be surprised to see trophies from stuff like Codename STEAM, Snipperclips (already confirmed to have a remix), Ever Oasis, BoxBoy, etc. If Sushi Striker gets nothing it's not cause it's too niche, it's because it's too recent.
W101 had trophies of all the Wonderful Ones and 2 music rips in smash 4. At the very least I don't expect the music rips will be going anywhere, in fact I'd say it's likely to get a remix.
Dillon was an assist trophy in smash 4, it's unlikely that he's gone.
Golden Sun got a remix and an assist trophy in Brawl, plus an extra song rip in Smash 4. The assist trophy disappeared in Smash 4 but the remix stayed, so there's no reason to doubt if it it'll be in Ultimate.

You realize that ARMS is likely gonna get in via DLC, right? How recent the IP is is the only thing holding it back from the base roster.
I was thinking ARMS was a lock for a playable character, but based on how few reveals are probably left and how early they started development on the game I'm guessing the Spring Man will have to wait for DLC.
Might hastily repurpose a model for a trophy though. And I'd love it if they snuck the ARMS theme into Little Mac's stage or something; it's so good!

You mean Mallo, right? He's amazing! I'd love to see him pull block (Pullblox) as an attack.
BTW, fun fact time. The Nabbit avatar I sport is actually a Pushmo puzzle! It's from Pushmo World. It's a user created Pushmo made by BowieZ! It is actually an amazingly good puzzle and I proudly use it as my avatar thanks to him.
For the base roster, at least. And given when Smash started development, it's completely understandable.
I'd love for Fire Emblem to disappear from Smash, but that ain't ever happening and that IP is in fact over-represented.

He had a trophy in Smash 3DS!
Rhythm Heaven had 4 trophies, 2 music rips, and a smash run enemy in Smash 4. No remixes, assist trophy, or stage tho.
I see, then we need to remedy the lack of assist trophies pronto!
Golden Sun and Rhythm Heaven, because they don't bring in the big bucks like Mario Kart and Animal Crossing do.

Yup. That's the point of the thread: it's easy to rattle off games without playable characters, but one's without even a trophy or music? Those are the deepest of cuts.

Isaac is my second most-wanted newcomer behind Amaterasu, but Golden Sun is probably going to get ignored again sadly.

Its hilarious that Sukapon got in as an assist trophy but nothing from a game that helped advertise the FX chip.
StarTropics fans probably feel the same way but that game never came out in japan.

If it has had trophies or songs or assist trophies previously, then it doesn't count. This isn't a "what Nintendo franchise would you like to have better representation" nor is it a "Which newcomer would you like to see" thread. This is a "what Nintendo franchises will likely be passed over completely in Smash Ultimate with a particular focus on ones that have had no representation previously since Smash Ultimate's whole gimmick is Everyone is here! which means that previously cut Assist Trophies, Music Tracks, regular Trophies and the like will probably also return".
