It would need a bigger rework than what they did to the SFV song. The Thailand stage only removed the chants so at best all they would do is remove the vocals but it would still be credited to the band. Seems like it would be a better idea to have a different band do the song or make a new one entirely.

Is that how my post came off? No, what I meant is that they've had trouble with a theme before and worked to fix it, that's what I meant. I'm not saying they should simply rework this one, but entirely replace it and go with another band that has no criminal record like Suicide Silence.

The above is what I was trying to get at, didn't think my post would come off as if I were simply suggesting to rework the song a little.

Why did Capcom choose these guys knowing this. The song sucks ass as well, not like that would excuse it anyway.

Don't blame them yet. The people in charge of hiring this band may not have known at all. This article and everything could've been on the internet more recently then when they decided on the song. Let's see if they rectify the mistake and disassociate themselves from it first before everyone blames them.

Nobody is claiming she is a saint, that's entirely beyond the point. She's an impressionable teen chasing a vocalist of a popular music band. As an adult, it's his responsbility to do the right thing and DMs clearly show, that even if not right away, he was aware of her age.

Mail the bigger press sites that cover this type of stuff (Kotaku, Polygon, Waypoint (VICE), Variety) and Capcom Japan will hear about it pretty quickly.

Yikes, you'd think Capcom would have done their homework regarding this. Hopefully they reconsider if the band is still affiliated with this person. No need to give them more visibility.

I would rather focus on getting Capcom to get the band and song removed rather than shame them for hiring them to being with.

My point is there's a difference between sexual harassment and sexual harassment of a minor. She was a minor at the time so he should be charged with pedophilia or something along those lines.

This is an easy one, having to drop a single (lame) song is a pretty minor consequence for accidentally hiring a sexual predator.

Yes OK that's all well and good but even soliciting nude pictures of minors is more than grounds enough to call out Capcom over featuring this act on their OST – which is what this thread is mostly about. Discussing details about age of consent and shit just comes across as irrelevant whataboutism.

Something tells me this in the first place was designed for and around DmC Dante. In terms of how long ago capcom in regards to hiring them.

That article came out 10 months ago. If they didn't know then that is their own fault.

They either knew, or they didn't, and both of those options are failures on Capcoms part.

I appreciate this effort to smear the band hard enough to make Capcom remove that terrible song, its for the better really....

I don't want to know if it's normal for capcom legal department to not check contractors with PR presence on regular basis, or if it's an anomaly,

Your original question wasn't really applicable honestly--the age of consent (what you seemed to be alluding to based on the fact you mentioned the age of consent in a subsequent post) doesn't always match the age of majority (ie when you stop being considered a minor). Unless you're from the UK, the age of majority is likely 18+, while the age of consent may vary.

Edit: or, as wikipedia has informed, a few countries in Africa. So like...still most of the world is 18+

The song is Z-tier garbage anyway ontop of the singer being trash. Capcom have nothing to lose from binning it.
