Wonder if PS4 sales will help it climb to 4th best selling game of all time? Last numbers had it at 50 million sold, so 30 million behind Wii Sports. That was from June so number will be much higher now. Add PS4 audience to the mix... It's gonna be getting there.

EDIT: oh, i forgot that 'it's too late' and that people would rather play H1Z1. Sorry, thanks for reminding me era. Forgot that pubg is ded.

Watch it come out, people bitch and moan about the performance and it still goes on to sell 5 million+ units. Despite the problems, its still one of the most dominant BR games out there.

Well, of course when all of its direct competitors have worse bugs and performance issues. Even though PUBG is bad, it's still the best and most tolerable tactical BR game on the market.

Wait are you for real? Is it really coming?
It probably is, yes. It's just not announced yet.. Either way, the rating is 100% real and was submitted by Microsoft themselves. You can't really fake a SKorea rating. Now, this doesn't mean MS hasn't changed their intentions and cancelled the port, but that doesn't make the rating false. It's a legit rating

They choose the worst possible time with Blackout coming soon. I say this as someone with 120 hours of play on PUBG: once you go blackout you can't go back... out?

I can't fathom a world where a game that was given Giant Bomb's GOTY for 2017 (up against Nier, Mario Odyssey etc), is the fifth best selling game of all time, is routinely played by two times the amount of concurrent people than the next closest game on Steam, has a critically acclaimed 86% rating on MC and is arguably the biggest indie success story of our generation is finally coming to the console that you own and people are queuing up to say *shrug* "i'd rather just play Call of Duty".

I mean, I do get it. It's just surprising to me. Not judging - Call of Duty is cool. Just... weird? I'm almost certainly gonna get COD. I love BR. But if I only had a PS4 and had been hearing about this game for a year I'd probably be curious. Just seems like people are desperate to tell everyone how they don't care and how it's too late.

Nothing weird about others having different opinions.

Was always expected a year after original XBO release. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the 1.0 release was pushed out early.

Where's that guy Braaier who was crowing about it never coming to PS4 yday lol

I'm probably gonna pick this up but that's totally dependent on the state its in.
Some of those launch Xbox vids for PUBG were awful in terms of framerate and texture loading; not worth the 25-30 quid they are asking for.

He was banned in the PS Classic thread. Crow must be his favourite dish or something because he definitely gets it served often.

Nice, always better late than never. Also, bonus that a later release means the game being further along for new players.

I wonder if this version will also be ugly and run like dogshit. Don't let them get away with this Sony!

Also blackshot is full of bullet sponge and OP shotguns, its just a game with a different feel, although its performance is infinitely better on consoles.

Unless Blackout is made it's own mode with support beyond the traditional ten months of CoD titles, PUBG will have far more support, longevity and staying power.

I don't think Activision will support Blackout longer than it supports most CoD titles with content.

You guys legitimately don't live in reality if you don't realize that PUBG is still one of the biggest game in the world. It's just not THE biggest anymore so now it's dying lol. Every week "PUBG IS DYING ITS TOO LATE" and this will sell easily 5+M in its first few weeks and maybe then everyone will just stop for like ten minutes.

Yeah going to be a tough sell especially if the game is at full price. One thing that's not being factored is the playerbase. If Playstation's stance on the fortnite debacle is any indication, the playerbase will probably be limited to PC/PS4. Given PC presumably has the biggest playerbase but nonetheless. It would need to be PS plus temporarily at release or at least $30 to even try to compete at this point.

On the other side...i'll end up getting it lol

COD maybe, but I honestly have trouble seeing the comparisons to fortnite. It may be a better product but It doesn't scratch my battle royale itch. I still play arma 3 battle royale along with pubg and enjoy them both due to the more realistic feel. Nothing to do with the visuals, mind you. More the mechanics.

And there is one thing that turns me off about Fortnite more than anything:

I'm just totally over games where you hack away at trees To build things. I just can't do it anymore.

PUBG on Xbox is a ton of fun. I hope people on PS4 enjoy it too.

I played ~10 rounds of Blackout and while it's really impressive what they've done - 60fps, seems more polished, the usual XP progression systems, etc. - I still prefer playing PUBG on Xbox instead.

I just love the slower pace and the shooting model of PUBG. I've grown to dislike the gunplay of Call of Duty games over the years. Even though TTK is higher than past CoD games, it's still too short for my liking, and I didn't like it too much in Blackout.

Additionally, I don't like how pickups and inventory works in Blackout. I'm sure it's just a matter of getting used to things, but all of the guns available in the Blackout beta were a muddled and incomprehensible mess of similar-feeling and indistinguishable shotguns and assault rifles. With PUBG on the other hand, every weapon feels distinct, and it's much easier to tell which guns are better than others for different situations.

Then, add to the fact that in Blackout now I need to worry about a number of different pickups my opponents might have, without ever really knowing what they're using, it's just an extra level of complexity I don't want to think about in a Battle Royale game.

I think once it hits ps4 its world wide appeal compared to xbox should help push PUBG closer to fornite. Also now that its multiplat both sides will calm down.

PUBG is too late for most. It'll still sell but why bother when better games are out with far better perfermance and the big names coming soon. Why pay for an unpolished product which still can't run optimally?

After playing the already smooth blackout beta, I wouldn't touch pubg with a pole. Just feels unplayable now going back to it and it's horrendously bad (Xbox one x) performance. Will probably be even worse on the pro, although they recently (temporally) downgraded it for testing

Awesome, I'll definitely triple dip on the PS4 version when it lands. I have friends on the PS4 who have been waiting for this version.

These sum up my thoughts too. There are enough differences between PUBG and COD that both can have a healthy player base.
