Was thinking it could work nice as a shield related thing, kinda like Samus Morph Ball. Then again, community hates Morph Ball dodging, so what do I know.

Have we talked about this leak at all from reddit from a little over a week ago? He says the Minecraft character is Steve. It comes from someone that called Isabelle and the new Samurai Shodown like a week before it was announced, so...

Rayman 3 had a GameCube marketing deal or something. This included slightly earlier launch of the game on GameCube (think a week or two) and GBA cable shenanigans in its bonus minigames section, which, if you didn't have a GBA and a cable, was a pure downgrade. Other versions of the game had nine bonus minigames (they weren't generally too interesting, which is probably why they were bonus minigames). The GameCube adds two multiplayer ones involving the link cables (IIRC one/two players play a falling block game on the GBA and one/two players do something on a 3D map derived from the GBA playfield) and a third one that is supposed to be unlockable using save file exchange with GBA "Rayman 3" game (more of Rayman 2 than 3 in content, but that's a different topic), but this never ever happens for some reason unless you have a cheat device (bug in GBA version is most blamed, but that minigame seems somewhat unpolished, so maybe it was deliberate). The downgrade part comes from GameCube version locking one of the regular minigames behind initial connection with GBA game.

This is what I got from it. As much as I would like Skull Kid to become playable, I have yet to see a hint/leak with substance pointing to playable character.
Ironically, I think at this point he would seem more likely to people without loz. Loz going overboard crazy made it seem laughable. Without that, people maybe would have theorized about the moon AT being there and possibly meaning skullkid playable, but nothing more.
That's disappointing, I was looking forward to some Isabelle info. Maybe next week?

Does anyone else feel like 6 full newcomers 5 echoes and 1 semiclone feel kinda too small? It's the main reason I can't subscribe to box theory. I know we were told to not expect as many newcomers as usual but considering echoes don't seem to be nearly as much work it still feels the amount added is even smaller than I would have expected if box theory is true. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I just feel like there are going to be more.
Did Sakurai specifically state newcomers or did he say not to expect many new characters. I ask because I have a nagging feeling in the back of my head that is telling me he's referring to new characters + echoes when he said that.
