I know this is going to ruffle some feathers but I was extremely disappointed in the Allies for not discussing the GAF/ERA story. It's not even because I'm a member that has nothing to with it. I just always feel like EZA is underachieving and shying away from a hard topic when it's related to the biggest community on the internet continues my frustration. It's not the first time they've shied away from tough topics either.
I know that's not going to be a popular opinion in EZAERA but I just wanted to express it regardless. I was a patron from day 1 but I canceled my support last month because I just felt like EZA could be doing so much more but settles for much less time and time again.
Ultimately I still enjoy watching the Allies talk about video games I just wish they had more nerve.

You might have more luck with Frame Trap on that sort of thing. Ben is more willing to address harder topics, while Kyle definitely prefers to keep things light where possible. That's no criticism.
On another topic, I'd love for the TTE campaign finale to be live streamed on Twitch, I think it would work really well, too. The community around that show is pretty isolated compared to most others, so it'd be fun to be in chat while everything plays out live.

All the allies will need to band together to beat him, but they fail. Then in their darkest hour, they ask Ultima to save them and reset the timeline. A scarred Ultima reluctantly agrees and goes on to bring Huber down at the E3 2019 Betting Special.
Lightning strikes the belt as Huber passes it to Ultima and as the timeline goes into flux, it fades to a simpler time...a time before the birth of Ultima.
Everyone is sitting on the couch enjoying Bloodborne 2 and joking about how dumb betting specials are...
Then cut to outside the garage where Bosman is about to enter...but he turns to the camera and says, "I'm back...baybay" and then he laughs maniacally at the camera.

I think it's more of a weekly podcast's responsibility to talk about something like that. A bi-weekly format doesn't lend itself well covering breaking news.
On the other hand, waiting means more time to consider things, and more information will inevitably be available. I think that helped lead to the great Hottake on lootboxes and microtransactions in the last episode.
I don't think it has anything to do with nerve, I just don't it has much of an interesting discussion about gaf.

There's not much for a "discussion" per se, I agree, but it feels weird for it to get not even a little mention like this happened, we posted there, there's a new forum, done. It's relevant news in a week with almost no other big thing happening.

PDP said said profanities while he was streaming, and has a HUUUUUUUUUGE audience. It's not the same thing at all. And the angle Kyle was searching when he introduced the subject was not about what happened exactly (but the panel did return the focus on it)
I think Kyle absolutely the right thing. Recognized what happened and stated that there's nothing valuable to say about it.

Yea, I think they could have tied back around to accusations throughout the industry like ND. But there is no way to discuss what happened without rustling someone's feathers, and Kyle rightly knows they would have likely landed on a safe middle of the road spot on the subject which would just ruffle everyone's feathers.
Sometimes saying that something is not worth talking about actually says something about your attitude towards the topic (not that it's necessarily the case here). And the reason given was strange. They said "what's that gonna change" or something among those lines - most of the things they talk about change nothing. Don't want to talk about it - fine, but then don't bring it up at all.

Like I said, even when the topic of PewDiePie racial slurs were discussed, Kyle always try to find an interesting angle around the topic. In that case it was a L&R question about the DCMA that Campo Santo issued. (But the panel went away with the discussion around the acts of PDP itself)

The Pewdiepie thing was something of a hot topic with the racial remarks in the current political landscape, but as you said they angled it towards a topic on how it doesn't just effect them but the whole of Youtube itself essentially their business, it made more sense to discuss it from the viewpoint of seeing how Youtube was reacting how the developers were reacting with takedowns, the advertisers pulling out and the changing of the platform they use to host their videos. Neogaf is not something everyone knows its not something everyone cares about, its more of a niche thing that yes gets mentions from them and various podcasts I listen to but I don't think the topic in itself could be angled in a interesting way to something that leads into a broad discussion.

Hello everyone. Torn between watching the stream or experiencing SMO for the first time on my own. Gah.
I'd experience it for yourself the first time. I stopped watching footage after e3 and feel my experience is better for it. I got something spoiled to me in a youtube thumbnail (scumbags) but experiencing the details of the game by myself has been so joyful.
You can always watch the the stream vod after you've played a good chunk of the game anyway.

Thank you. My Switch broke down a couple of weeks ago and had to send it for repairs. It's on its way back so I'm anxiously keeping my head in the sand for fear of spoilers. Can't wait to see everyone go gaga on Frame Trap about the trio of big releases today. :D
Damiani just started streaming Mario Odyssey from the start (his first playthrough). So I'd say the review isn't going to hit until mid/late next week
