The lie detector thing isn't all that convincing to me. I believe her story, but that aspect is fluff. What IS convincing is Republican's clearly prepared and preemptive response to her allegations.
Mitch McConnell warned against nominating Kavanaugh. He said there were "Too much documents" for him to get through the process. What documentation? Now 1. Mitch would never care if Kavanaugh was a bad guy. 2. Mitch would have no problem with Kavanaugh's ruling history so it's not like they'd find out he voted pro Roe v Wade once and that would piss off the base. So clearly they new something was up with the guy.
Second, the list of 60+ women Kavanaugh knew came out the day this woman's allegations came out. Now, in a hypothetical situation where I need to have 60 women I knew in high school to sign off on my being an okay guy, I could do that but it would take time to find people I knew. Days. Weeks. Months even. They dropped that list the day the allegations came out. I think they showed their hand there in their rush to the defense. They clearly knew something like this was coming and were not only trying to push Kavanaugh through before this stuff could get out and had prepared this specific defense in advance if it did.
So what did Republicans like McConnell know and when did they know it?
Also all the writing Kavanaugh's friend did about them getting black out drunk together were scrubbed from all the publish works he's doen mentioning it.
