He's right tho.lol, it really blows my mind that someone would think this was part of some long term nefarious plan.
Yea man, the lack of BC on the PS4 is just because Sony actually hates money.lol, it really blows my mind that someone would think this was part of some long term nefarious plan.
Ape Escape won't be coming to it the controllers don't have analogue sticks.
Didn't require analogue and it even came out before the DualShock did.No analogue sticks means no Colony Wars I guess, no buy from me then!
I'd say it's a safe bet, unless Sony makes another one next year that's in the refresh style and with analog controllersThe obvious question is "Yo, is this thing going to have Metal Gear Solid or are we just playing around?"
PlayStation 1 has some of the best games ever made. Resident Evil, MGS, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc.
I'm going all in.
Tekken 3 isn't on PSN.-no dual shock
-no power cord
-no games that aren't already available on PSN
no thanks
It stopped them from doing SNES, apparently. PS1 games have never been available for PS4, and there has been no announcement of them coming to PS4. Your point?
Don't get me wrong, I'm going in. But I don't think those PS1 era games stood the test of time as good as the SNES era games. We shall see.

PS1 on a Sony Trinitron is still a treat today, games like SOTN look incredible, PS1 games kinda look like crap on a HDTV.Sony fanboy alert! Was one of the first in the UK to own a Japanese version (1994). A game dev friend traveled over to Japan, and returned a day later. I was £700 quid lighter. I bought a new 24" Sony Trinitron TV with the then swanky SVHS input for a further £450. Class.
Hopefully you have to turn it upside down to work, for old times sake.

Would preorder if it included that.
Yep. I definitely think the lack of PS1 games on PS4 is because they wanted to juice sales of a collector's item 5 years in the future. Totally.Yea man, the lack of BC on the PS4 is just because Sony actually hates money.
This limited edition novelty box definitely has nothing to do with it, no way. I mean, just look at how awesome the Virtual Console service has become since the NES classic launched!
Yeah. I really wish game companies took game preservation and accessibility seriously. This whole trend of removing console features to sell these novelty plastic ROM boxes is absurd. No thanks Sony, this shit should be playable on PS4.
This just pushes people to emulate on PC instead of giving Sony money.

If PS1 classics were available on PS4 like they were on PS3 then you would be able to buy the specific game you want for $5-8, instead Sony are giving you a set list 20 games to play in a $100 bundle.
If they were selling you a meaningful piece of hardware it'd have an optical drive and play the PS1 games you already own.
