If I want to have my account on my switch AND my wife's switch, how do I go about doing that? I'm worried that "Transfer User" will delete me off of the first switch. It says online that it's possible to have your account on more than one console.

https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNTM3MzM0MzE2L3NpZC9mVWY2akhrWDZKdjhDS3RiOTZNM240aW1sV0JMR1g1TlVMUktQS1RjeVRrWTBLb09GQk1JcHBMcjhUT3ByZ0szam9hWHQxd205d2ZrUEh0UUolN0ViNEJIRHUzZURnT0o4T0VXd05KQXVud2JjbkIxQk1lTWVaZklfZyUyMSUyMQ==
Make a new user On her switch and sign into your account when it asks you to link a Nintendo Account.

Haven't caught up with the thread, but is it possible to use Eshop credit for the family plan without using a CC?

1- when playing just select different accounts. If you select the same account the game will pause on the secondary console. Secondary console needs an internet connection to play the games.
Doesn't the secondary console have to use the the account that owns the games? I.e. John owns a bunch of games. On the primary console John and Bob can both play John's games, but on the secondary it's just John. Or am I misunderstanding what the Nintendo page says?

Being able to share games with family would be excellent though.

Had a bit of fun ripping though TLOZ.

Save scummed the shit out of the guessing game to get the blue ring pretty early, lol.

Blazed through level 4 and called it there.

I'm not 100%, but I THINK you need to manually start the backup for any game you don't plan to start playing soon. The good thing is that you can queue them all one after another and you only need to do this process once, though it can take a bit if you have a LOT of games.
Thanks. Going to let it go and see if it does anything overnight while it's sleeping. If nothing is backing up by then I'll just manually push them through.

Full disclosure, this is my Twitter account. If this violates a TOS I'll remove it. TBH, if I have a personal agenda it's not having to pay for online for now as this is literally all I would use online for between now and Smash.

But if it got traction I think a lot of people would appreciate it beyond myself.

There's a lot of people who simply won't play in tournaments now and digital pinball is already pretty niche. By all rights Pinball FX3 is a F2P game. The table Sorcerer's Lair is 100% free with no restrictions and a 2nd 100% free table, Fish Tales, is coming in October. Playing the free tables in online competitive modes is a big part of Zen's strategy to sell more tables to you.

Didnt play a lot of NES games or that era at all and am really impressed of what I'm seeing in River City Ransom.

Has equippable items and people you can throw and carry to the next screen. Has loot to pick up to buy stat upgrades. And the restaurants have their cool store scene.

Also my 7 day trial ends in next thursday even though i started today. Not complaining though!

OK I took the plunge and got myself sorted with my US account not working with my AU credit card.

Created a new Australian account
Linked my AU account to my US family group
Paid for family sub with AU account
All users on the family group now have Nintendo Online

So cross region family group works. Nice.

I haven't booted my Switch up yet to check the service out but why are people paying already if there was supposed to be a trial week? I wanted to use the trial before in about a week I reunite with my little brother and we set up a family account :/

So after buying one year is it possible to stack another year on top of it? I'm afraid to buy another code off of Amazon cause I'm not sure if it will work.

So I just downloaded the famicom version for NES online from my Japanese account, loaded it up on my American account. And it works! I'mma gonna try to play with my friend's japanese account.

YESSSSSSS.

Famicom box art is so niiiiice.
Are you subscribed to Nintendo Online (US account) or just using the free trial? I can't download the Famicom one on my JP account, only using the free trial.

Yep, up to 3 years.

"You can purchase or redeem download codes for multiple memberships of the same type (individual or family) to extend your overall membership time. For example, if you purchase an individual membership of any time length when you are already an individual Member, the time will be added on to the end of your current membership period. The remaining time on your account can be increased up to 3 years.

Please note that you cannot combine time from a family membership and an individual membership. You will receive whichever amount of time is longer.

Examples:

  • If you have 35 days remaining on your individual membership and you purchase an additional 1-year individual membership, your remaining time will be increased to 400 days.
  • If you have 35 days remaining on an individual membership and you purchase a 1-year family membership, your remaining time will be 1-year - not 1 year plus 35 days. If you are added to someone else's family membership, make sure to adjust your auto-renewal settings appropriately."

I'll be playing for at least the next 30 mins if anybody wants to friend me and test some multi. (Apologies if there's a friend-code begging thread specifically for NES Online, I searched and didn't see one.) SW-4105-7896-4113

Where's the link to the NES controllers?
I looked in the OP and at the online Nintendo store but can't seem to find them.
Came to ask this.

Had a quick blast as I'm only awake, service is slick and very impressive. Used my coins to purchase to get a substantial discount too! Very happy with this.

Here is the Link - https://nesc.nintendo.com/nintendo-entertainment-system-controllers , but you need a paid sub to buy it

Subbed. Not going to kick up to much of a fuss at £17.99 a year. Paying to play online will always be shit however.

NES games seem decently done. Works really fast too which is neat.

Guys I have a problem please help me.

There are currently 2 accounts on my Switch. One of them is JP (Main Account) and the other one is US. Today I bought Switch Online Subscription with my nonJP card on JP store. (I'm using it since the Switch has been released, no problems so far) I got the confirmation mail and subscription is completed, than I tried to download Famicom app where a strange thing happened. eShop displayed a warning saying "eShop cannot be used in this region" WTF, I use it for 2 years without any problems. I tried to download a couple of new demos to see if it actually works and no problem , I can download demos. I went to see if I can get a last confirmation page on orders and no problem at that side too. Can anyone tell me what is the problem and how can I bypass this weird thing.

So are there any downsides to joining a family account? Like does the primary user get some perks that aren't available to the others?

Yo this is fucked Fortnite gets a pass purely because it's "big." If you're going to have a standard, then stick to it ffs

Anyone able to download the Famicom app from the Japanese eshop? No luck here. Even changing my Switch region to Japan but to no avail.

The free trial auto-renews as a monthly membership. It doesn't look like there's a direct free trial to annual membership option (that is, without cancelling auto-renewal and then buying the annual membership). That's weird.

Nope, I got 12 months subscription and cannot download it. I found a small reddit thread that some days he/she tried many times to download it and managed to get through. It will be safe to wait a while to let's things settle a little bit.
