"Samus would be a 2nd wave feminist Democrat"
"Mr. Game & Watch is probably still concerned with Y2K"
"Toon Link is a Gen-Z canvasser for local democratic socialists"

They have a Mario Kart one that is just as good:

"All the babies are hyper nationalist they're in the first stage of moral development"

"DK is a tankie"

...this explains the banana hoard very well

was "we like ike" his campaign slogan? Its kind of similar to Eisenhower

Ike didn't campaign, he was a political appointee. Ike was the commander of his country's reclamation force when they were invaded by a foreign nation, then after winning the war served a short term as a member of the nation's political court to help with reconstruction.

Oh I wasn't at all serious. His smash cheer does sound a lot like a rally chant

Since I didn't get this one, can I point out that Pandora's Tower put in quite a bit of work into its lore? The game's based entirely in that one tower, but we learn a fair bit about the countries outside. If I recall, Aeron's country is heavily industrialized and dotted with factories, but is also militaristic. There's another country that's good with textiles, and there's another crusader-like state.

A major event in the backstory revolves around the people of Elena's country, who are polytheistic, toying with monotheism. What's interesting is that what we see of this polytheistic religion is actually based off of real-world Chinese alchemy, with their gods matching up to a cross between the five elements and the yin-yang dichotomy. The yin-yang dichotomy was almost definitely picked to tie in with the game's focus on romantic live. The penultimate boss, the Masters of the Blacklight Barbican, is actually a yin-yang. The fact that one is male and one is female also matches up to the associations with yin and yang.

Also Ganbarion made Jump Ultimate Stars, and so has earned my eternal love.

Ooooh, I thought it meant K Rool or Isabelle or someone had canon sexual intercourse.

Although, I guess Simon did? And Ridley...? How are little birdies born?

Oh, yeah! For the newcomers.

*AHEM*

Inklings: Ew. They're kid-squids. Granted, Toon Link got an honorary mention on the original list as he canonically will reproduce but had yet to do so at the time in his life represented in Smash, but... No.
Ridley: Between being the last of his kind & being canonically too obsessed with himself to seek a mate, I'm going to say no.
Daisy: My old roommate was insistent that her holding Luigi's hand on Daisy Circuit means they've had intercourse because Japanese cultural stuff. I mostly pushed back because I couldn't imagine Luigi having sex, but that shouldn't stop Daisy. I'll give it a "maybe."
Simon: Definitely yes at some point ala Toon Link above, although with his Smash incarnation, I'm just going to give him a "probably." If his Smash self is based on Castlevania 1, if Haunted Castle was a remake of Castlevania 1, if Haunted Castle took place on Simon's wedding day, & if Simon's holy enough to use holy water & therefore would wait until his wedding night, there's a chance he's still celibate until after he kills Dracula.
Richter: Second verse, same as the first, barring the Haunted Castle stuff.
Dark Samus: Not sexually active; she'd have no biological need nor drive.
Chrom: Absolutely sexually active, with Lucina being Exhibit A.
King K. Rool: Inconclusive, but he claims to have a wife in DKC3. Is it true? Is it a joke? Who knows? But I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be sexually active. I just don't see any proof, either.
Isabelle: Inconclusive, but she seems too innocent.

... The downside to this list is that there are few characters with proof of a sex life or lack thereof, & the majority of the ones with proof are solely because they're parents (The list was inspired by a 2 AM musing that Olimar was one of the few characters with kids in Brawl, & therefore was one of the only sexually active characters).

And yes, Goku would immediately be on the "has had sex" list, even if he has apparently never kissed his wife & mother of his 2 sons.

If you include Cosplay Pikachu as new, she actually cannot have children.

I'm a Nintendo fan. That's why I never played FF7 even.
You have got to play FF7, it's an incredible experience.

Tankie DK wouldn't hoard bananas, he hoards in spite of his politics

What's the full list?

Oh, true! And I guess Link & Zelda are "new." I'm going to miss making "Here Lies Link: He Died a Virgin" jokes, though, since they got under my roommate's skin (He shipped Link & Ilia). I haven't played BotW but I'm assuming that's no longer a likely fate.

YWhat's the full list?

It wasn't typed, it was scrawled on a white board one Saturday night back in college. I'll need to retype this list, & that'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Does that mean that she acts any different when she's left with the Pokemon daycare, though?

I'd assume Cosplay Pikachu, since she's tied to Pokemon Contests, would be like a show animal in real life, & the trainer would be contractually obligated to ensure she never breeds. It's why one of my dogs could never have puppies; even if he was a show dog "reject" (Despite being perfect), they didn't want other breeds mixing with Papillions for some disgusting reason.

If you're not gonna put isaac in there, at least get Sakuraba to do an arrangement of Isaac's theme and Saturos' theme. So fuckin good

I haven't played Pandora's Tower, but that is a nice touch. always appreciate when games put a small details in their lore, even when I never notice it and need it pointed out to me. It gives the impression that there is a world beyond what you are playing.

id like to think they have at least some choice in the matter considering how human-like their personality and expression is (as well as being described in the dex as being particularly intelligent). Everything about daycare in those games is just a pandoras box of questions that don't need answers.

Wario being a centrist? Get the hell outta here!
I'm not sure whoever made this understands US politics or the characters themselves, I'm not sure which

It is legitimately cool. When you beat the game you actually get some legal documents put out by one of the groups that occupied the towers (they had been abandoned twice in the backstory, if I recall).

He's also anti-nuke. I think maybe some people are confusing him with Big Boss.
Big Boss would not be a Republican either, what with literally renouncing to his American citizenship and building his own paramilitary instead. I can see him characterised as an anarchist.
Lucas leaning right is hilarious. Mother 3 is anti capitalist.
I was so mad at the first few tiers I didn't bother checking out the rest.

It depends purely how much you like making home designs for the sake of making them

The game is extremely free form and the only thing it looks for in your designs are "did you hit the item limit", "can you enter the room," and "did you put in their required items." Of which there are at most 3. Otherwise you can go nuts and the animals will love whatever you do.

I got a lot out of it because making houses based on their theme is fun, but if lack of, uh, game-y elements is a turn off I'd suggest staying away.
Yeah I usually really enjoy designing my town so it sounds fun. Especially because the biggest hindrance is generally how tedious the inventory system and rearranging can be.

Does it have a proper objectives to complete the game though or is it just as open ended as the mainline titles? (though they at least you can 'beat' by paying off your house and filling is the museum).

Isabelle would definitely be a Socialist

Incineroar would probably be a traditionalist Republican that also wants to ship off all Primarinas

Dante would be a self proclaimed "anarchist" that supports Libertarians for some reason

Goku forgets to vote

Anyway, to bring this topic back to a more comfortable conversation, I'm pretty sure is the Luigi Amiibo of Custom Robo models.

I still dont get why people thought Clouds reveal trailer was about Wolf. It was the "one more thing" at the very end of the direct, the place where they make a huge announcement. Cloud in Smash is huge. A returning vet is not. Lucas's return to Smash in 4 was a regular part of another direct, it was fairly low key.
