No, they promoted Masozi because a) they're good, and b) the Smash thread posters are obviously the upper class citizens of era.
Is his theme a remix of some PMD song?
It's naive to think Sakurai doesn't have some level of control over the music selection in order to assure that each series has at least one remix (with the exceptions of like, ROB, G&W, and maybe some third parties). When even Duck Hunt is getting a remix, I'm pretty confident every series aside from the few exceptions mentioned will have a remix. Kid Icarus is 100% getting some new remixes.
Not really. Quite frankly, this thread tends to be well-behaved. Especially for a thread with so many posts.

1.) Add in Louie/Brittany as an Echo that uses weaker-but-shield-breaking Rock Pikmin like what was planned for Alph.
2.) Plasm Wraith as a new Villain character
Basically, it would play up the Plasm Wraith's shapeshifting & elemental powers from the boss fight in Pikmin 3, as well as it's gimmick of losing parts of its body/shrinking every time it's hit (So it'd start each match Ridley-sized, strong, but slow, & eventually shrink to Olimar-sized, weak, but fast).
I don't know, it makes sense to me. That avatar says "leader".
Pikmin is one of my favorite series period but I would be a hypocrite if I said yes considering my thoughts on Zelda characters. Olimar and the Pikmin is all you really need. The other cool part of Pikmin is the enemies, and they aren't suited for fighters.
I mean Isabelle is literally one of the biggest faces of Nintendo now, she's more of a special exception.
None of the additional Pikmin characters really have anything going for them in terms of popularity or moveset potential. They could potentially work as echo fighters of Olimar, but considering Alph is still stuck as an alt costume, that isn't going to happen.

I swear they always avoid the best Pokémon songs from each game in Smash. But honestly, the trainer battle theme in SunMoon is one of my faves, so I'm hoping they go back to the normal theme well one more time
While we're talking about music, I think the most interesting (good) thing that could come out of the weekly updates is if they show a new remix of a series that seemingly wouldn't get one. Final Fantasy, Bayonetta, Mr. Game & Watch, Ice Climber and ROB all come to mind.
Hopefully no more generic battle themes and instead we get Aether Battle Theme

I'm all for this as well, since I like Brittany more. That said, if Louie's the face, that means we're more likely to get Louie's Notes on how to cook & serve each fighter, & ever since that idea got thrown out, I've been morbidly curious.
Also, why do I get so much smut when I Google Pikmin characters? I have Safe Search on for a reason; what if my dog sees that?

It depends purely how much you like making home designs for the sake of making them
The game is extremely free form and the only thing it looks for in your designs are "did you hit the item limit", "can you enter the room," and "did you put in their required items." Of which there are at most 3. Otherwise you can go nuts and the animals will love whatever you do.
I got a lot out of it because making houses based on their theme is fun, but if lack of, uh, game-y elements is a turn off I'd suggest staying away.
Brittany was my favorite Pikmin 3 character, and I'd always play as her whenever I could. She'd be really neat as an Olimar echo! Louie I mostly want to have playable in some capacity because he's just such a jerk, to the point where it's kind of hilarious.
Oh geez, this is getting messy. Luckily Rule Number 6 states that in case we have a cupcake/snack conundrum, you can come over to my house and play on the swing set as long as you agree that tripping was a bad mechanic, but be careful about Rule Number 7 which states that the sandbox is off limits to anyone but hardcore Ridley fans. Unless you have a > 2 year old forum post in favor of Ridley joining Smash you can't play in the sandbox. Sorry rules are rules, but eventually we'll be able to follow the rules and have a good party
Isabelle is the biggest character bar the inkling, added to Smash.
Pikmin is a very niche series.

Y'know I was thinking that since K Rool also runs on 4 legs I was thinking Incineroar's wouldn't be that bad but that animation is so clumsy. It doesn't even looks like he's putting an effort to run it's just weird. If he runs on his fours I imagine it would be similar to K Rool.I can't wait to see Incineroar's running animation

Same here! I liked the idea of her being a botanist that really wasn't there to explore much, but she's suggested to be the most competent explorer because she's the only one that can manage rations.
I did the same for Louie in 2, though. And I love that the dude just straight-up leaves the Pikmin 3 crew for dead & also steals their food after they rescue him. Having him tied up & floating around the SS Drake for the last chunk of the game always managed to make me crack a smile.

I have to wonder how they feel about the spinoff games getting any kind of spotlight. Only hope for new tunes are cool fans doing their own take on them.
I'm not sure if it would kill the Ballot. If anything Isabelle and the Box Theory kind of showed us how the Ballot probably might not have been as influential as we thought. What with Incineroar, Elma, and a SE rep being the more likely batch of newcomers. Unless Sora was added in as a Ballot request because it seemed like he did well on it but it seems likely it would be Dragon Quest for SE.
Not really. I played it for a bit but it's basically a dollhouse simulator without an easy sharing/showing off function. It needed some kind of progression or puzzle system.
I have no idea how Smash Ballot works out into the equation, given how she could have gotten the question misfire boost, but Elma definitely isn't inconsistent with box theory as I understand it; she's inconsistent with its mainstream, Vergeben-filtered interpretation, but that's it.
I'm very eager to see if Isabelle was upgraded at some point in development. We've already has multiple instances of characters getting upgraded over Smash's history and converting Echo Fighters into Semi clone newcomers seems pretty likely all things considered.
