There's some interesting articles being written by a guy on Medium. Called the Gundam NT Design History. Currently only has two articles out, covering the Narrative Gundam and Stein Unit 2.

Tom Aznable and his buddies are great. Through him I found his friends site http://www.zimmerit.moe/.

Has rad articles likeTHE HOLLYWOOD GUNDAM BIBLIOGRAPHYalso by Tom andKAZUHISA KONDO'S GUNDAM: THE REVIVAL OF ZEON. There's also other neat little articles on there likethis really off topic but cool one about a Judge Dredd promotional mangathat ran in Shonen Jump.

It's been a year since VS came out and got me back into Gundam and finally pick up and build several kits but after a hiatus to focus on Rocket League and GOW, I'm a upset that the game is dead. I can get into one on one matches, but I can't really unrust myself playing against champs who've probably never stopped playing and using powerful suits. Oh well.

I was hoping to find out if NGB was ever fixed on PS4 and worth getting. Articles are hard to come by.

What's the general consensus on New Gundam Breaker? Worth getting?

With Build Divers ending, now begins the wait for NT

I've heard nothing but bad things. It's not the team that made the previous games, and apparently the gameplay changes aren't good.

Then again, I'm not sure if these problems have been alleviated by patches or not (my guess is not). I know that the PS4 version of the game suffered from some terrible slowdown, but I'm not sure if that's addressed in the port either.

The last episode of Gundam Build Divers is out! I said a bit ago, because I was unimpressed with the plot, that if Sara had anything to do with the story I'd give away a movie. It's clear from impressions that she did, and I'm taking their word for it since I haven't finished it myself. Here is a copy of Ready Player One, the most Gundam thing I can give away over the forum.

To enter the contest, tell us a story of your Gunadm fandom. Maybe you have a story of the lengths you went to getting Gundam videos/stuff to your country. Building your favorite or first gunpla (or breaking a crucial part!). How about your experience trying to tell someone about Mobile Suit Gundam that's never heard of it and how they reacted.

The more people that join in the better so the cutoff time will be around noon Thursday. That's about 48 hours from now. (The prize is a HD US copy, and I'll trust you to figure out if you can use it wherever you are.)

Thanks for playing!

This is the only thing I've found at a quick glance. https://www.giantbomb.com/new-gunda...-actually-playable-with-latest-patch-1838745/

Forum post on Giant Bomb saying that thing is a bit more playable now.

Also, sounds like a fun contest pantsattack . I'll write something up later when I have more time.

Overall, I would say that Build Divers had some issues, but I still managed to enjoy it. It was just fun, even with some stupid plot points.

Ayame and the 00 Sky made the entire series worth it, too.

Kanatake Ebikawa also drew a 00 Sky image for the ending of the series.

I love that film and have only rented it so I'm going to enter in the contest:

I've ordered nearly two dozen gunpla since last September thanks to the VS release and my little three year old (two back then) took a liking to it so I bought him the Gundam RX-78-2 action figure (less small parts) for x-mas to play with.

Turns out the ball joints were too loose and all 4 limbs came off with ease. So I drilled through it, added a threaded rod through the shoulders of each arm and chest cavity and added nuts to keep the arms on but allow movement.

Turns out, it just wasn't play proof anyway lol:

His SD Gundam Heavyarms (his favorite) didn't fare any better but that's only because my oldest stepped on it =/.

Build Divers 25 END

How come everyone looks exactly as youd expected them to IN THE REAL. I was kind of hoping for something that would subvery expectations. I kind of wanted to see Do-ji in the real as well.

Final attack was epic, Riku using Kyoya was epic.

Sarah's upgrade looks like something that'd actually fit better in Accel World.

BUT BEST BUILD ever! sequel when.

Agreed. Build Divers just kind of meandered for a good chunk of its run. At least the previous Build series kept the action going. Divers seemed like it kind of forgot the whole Gunpla aspect of it and didn't even use the setting of it being a video game to its fullest potential. Like, how often did we see the main cast actually playing the game? I think we saw them actually do missions maybe three whole times throughout the course of the show. Most of the time it was just them hanging around. The final episode with the Raid Boss battle was more along the lines of what the show should've been. Hopefully when they do the inevitable sequel, they remember to stick with Gunpla Battle concept. Even better would be to see some returning cast members from the previous series.

And maybe it's just me, but after seeing Sarah's MS design, I can't help be feel like her design is somewhat influenced by the G-Lucifer from Reconguista. Her skit has a very similar look to the skirt bits that the G-Lucifer used.

Damn, Build Divers is worse than Try? I guess this isn't an off shoot of Gundam that's for me then. I might give Try a...try...well retry, but jeez.

I'm surprised so many people stuck with Build. i was bored only 4 episodes in and dropped it. Happy to know I didn't miss much.

I haven't watched the final episode yet but Build Divers is the most boring Gundam series ever. At least other "bad" Gundam shows like Reconguista have some redeeming qualities, be it crazy weirdness or innovative mecha design. Build divers doesn't even have that.

I still can't rock with this. Build Divers is thoroughly mediocre and IMO does have some interesting ideas, it just doesn't do anything interesting WITH them.

I'd watch this over Reconguista, AGE, and SEED/SEED Destiny any day.

Watching all Gundam through no matter what means you've seen a great deal worse than Builders.
My bottom tier for Gundam is this, ordered from worst to not as terrible: Build Divers, Seed Destiny, Wing TV.
Opinions: we are both entitled to them.
Build Divers had 00 Sky and AGE love, how people think its mediocre is beyond me.
I don't think Build Divers is mediocre, I think it's bad. For me AGE is better.
If Build Divers had kept the tone, pacing, and action of the Prologue, it would've actually been really good. But, alas, it doesn't.
The prologue is actually one of the few nice parts of Build Divers.

If you look for some posts in this very thread there is a back and forth between me and The Sum of Zero caused by my suggestion that, in my opinion, the only reason so many Americans love Wing this much is because they lost their Gundam virginity to it.
I have to assume virginity is a word whose frequency is low enough that this part of the thread is easy to find.
Me saying "Wing is objectively bad" is sarcasm (that didn't work) as it is obviously opinion.

While you all are stopping by, check out my contest up this page.

Ok, I'll jump in.

I got into Gundam in the mid 80s via some cousins who were stationed on a military base in Japan. They'd send me VHS tapes of Gundam reruns off TV so I'd watch them and really have no clue what was being said, but as a little kid I sure thought it was pretty awesome. I forgot about them as I got older but then got back into Gundam in the late 90s/early 00s when Bandai started releasing all the older series and OVAs on DVD.

Agreed, I think Wing is held so highly is just because so many in the West started out with it. Mine was actually the 0079 trilogy, which I got to see during a late night screening at San Diego Comic Con. Though, what actually got me into Gundam was when my oldest brother was in middle school and his friend brought him back the 0080 style Zaku FZ model kit after her returned from a trip to Japan.

As a big Gundam fan in the US, I can confirm that the only reason people love Wing so much is because it aired on TV here first. I find the love for it really misplaced and blind nostalgia, personally. Now not to say that the love for the show is invalid. I just can't go back to it after getting way into the universal century.

I disagree, I saw Wing within the past few years for the first time and it is still easily top 2 best gundam ever.

That is actually really cool. I'm not the biggest fan of the Crossbone (sacrilege, I know), but that figure does look good. What's the bird bot though? I don't recall ever seeing that before.

Over the next few months I am going to watch all of the series that I've either never finished or haven't watched in over a decade and then rank them all, probably in here, in the anime thread, and the TOONAMI thread.

Let's see that leaves me with Gundam X and Victory Gundam (watched...but not in a decade) G Reco (never watched a second of) and gotta finish Builders.

I technically lost my Gundam virginity to I think the second or first 0079 movie, then several years after that I saw Wing and got way more into the franchise. With that said while I like Wing and appreciate it for what it was and did for the fanbase it will never be my favorite. That right is reserved by Victory and Zeta Gundam, I love them equally and they're my two favorites. At some point I'll buy those on blu ray, those sets are a bit expensive because it's two sets.
