The Japanese Famicon interface looks slick as hell.

Man, an option to switch game regions for this would make it so much neater. I've never even seen the Double Dragon jp cover art. Ugh.
Seems to be working fine for me also but these games are a pain to play without a proper dpad for me.

Not home for awhile, so I can't test this out - What do the NES games look like on your play history? Are they listed separately, or under one umbrella? Not hugely important or anything, but I was curious about it.

It's within the app but it does have an activity log timer for each game. It doesn't list them on the software screen separately.

This is a dumb question, but are you able to use remaining eShop funds alongside Gold Coins to pay for Nintendo Switch Online? I'm not home yet, so I can't check since I'm planning to redeem through Microsoft Rewards and get either an eShop prepaid card or the Nintendo Switch Online subscription from Amazon.

You can use eShop funds and coins to purchase the subscription.

Hold on.

This fucking launched without button remapping and you can only play NES games online with friends? Not randoms?

Are you fucking kidding me?

Nintendo did not announce matchmaking for these games. However, the lack of button remapping is a travesty.

Anybody's code not working? Tried entering it in and said I couldn't still.

So I tried buying the online, but an error occurred during payment, but I was still charged... I was going to complain and then I saw the amount was stored in my eshop funds... phew.

Still getting errors to get online subscription. I'll wait until later.

Switch online code I bought isn't working, happen to anyone else?

Sounds like there are some issues for sure, seeing similar reports over on Gamespot.

I played Gradius online with a friend. It worked really well.

I dunno. So far, except for button mapping and maybe the color saturation, it seems really well done.

The lack of button remapping is honestly the biggest oversight here.

Can't wait for this to be fixed in a year or never.

The NES app is super slick and games load instantly. I love it.

This needs button remapping though. Hopefully they add it.

Wait why are people upset about b to run and a to jump? That's the way it was for the nes?

Also I haven't noticed any input lag. Using a pro controller

So, I downloaded the NES games in Europe and if I'm not mistaken, they all run at 60Hz, like they should. Mario 3 feels fast enough, at least, and the music has the right tempo.

Can anyone confirm that we actually got the good versions of the games?

I'm so disappointed, I was looking forward to just being able to jump into a game with someone online. This shit is so ridiculous.

My dock stopped working after i updated to 6.0

I had to remove my switch and power it completely off then put it back in the dock and it started working again

It's cool and snappy.

Button remapping needs to be patched ASAP, like, tonight, along with full screen disabling those awful grey bars and button prompts.

I'd love a less aggressive filter like the monitor one from Mega Man Legacy Collection since the CRT is too much for me.

Playing with randoms needs to be added in the future.

Yeah this totally kills it for me, I was under the impression that the online functionality where with online randoms, not just people on your friends list.

This is already a disappointment.

Not an excuse. That's absolutely terrible. They announced a paid subscription service with a selling point that you can play NES games online and there's no matchmaking? Completely inexcusable.

You need ZL and ZR to open the suspend menu (switch games, save states and so on), so anyone hoping to use an 8bitdo controller without ZL and ZR are kind of boned. Unless you only want to play one game at a time and don't mind closing the whole thing down every time you want to switch.

Do I have to wait until 8PM PST now that the server is undergoing maintenance?

No button remapping is a major disappointment. I'd like to use B+Y, as B+A feels so unnatural to me .

My son has a different profile on our switch compared to my wife (so 3 profiles on our Switch). Do we need a family plan if both play splatoon? Or is this for different switches (like if wife had her own switch and son had his own?)

NES buttons are placed like this.

The corresponding Switch buttons are placed like this.

Take a wild guess why people might find this uncomfortable.
