"Last time i trusted someone, i lost an eye"
Guess we found him.
I doubt Fury would put everything he knows into a database.
Is she the character that Rogue stole her powers from in the cartoons?
The marketing thing is kind of my point, I just worded poorly, sorry. I know in the past (including some of DCs own recent animated entries) that they kept flipping between Captain Marvel and Shazam and it was always confusing to me why they did it. But, honestly, if you can't market a character under their own name (like has been done for Batman, Superman, etc after their debuts in Detective Comics, Action Comics, etc even though those are technically still published)...This is making me want to pick up some Captain Marvel comics.
Not true, DC is allowed to call their character Captain Marvel just that they aren't allowed to use the name for marketing reason hence why they re-branded the series Shazam.
Plus it's a cute joke that will probably confuse most people, even me when I first learn about Captain Marvel.
So this is the new technique I think they used in Ant Man to make some actors look a little younger...? Coulson and Fury look like the are in their 30's...
Doesn't Rogue do that power absorption to Ms Marvel early on? And I'm pretty sure that persona has already been excised from her. Would be odd to have that storyline when Carol is already Captain Marvel and Rogue is already a big shot. When Cap Marvel is an established MCU a-lister and when the X-Men reboot is in place? Yes, there is a 100% chance that this WILL happen. Dunno if it'll mean the end of CM or if they'll do it some other way or what, but once Carol and Rogue are both MCU big shots, it's absolutely gonna happen.
Wouldn't it be funny if he keeps injuring his eye throughout the move?
I don't think this is when Nick loses his eye. It's probably a red herring.
Probably just got punchedI don't think this is when Nick loses his eye. It's probably a red herring.
Not your traditional origin story. Captain Marvel starts the movie already having her power. But it seems like she has amnesia and discovering her memories is part of the story. So yeah, we should get her origin story shown in some way.
Final scene Fury is shown drinking a Mai Tai and forgots to take the little parasol out.
Not a lot of that 90s personality and nostalgia that we were promised, but I'm sure we'll get that in the next trailer. This seemed to be just setting up the basics about Danvers' character for people who's only exposure to her was that cryptic Infinity War stinger.
Carol has been wack way before CW2. That was just icing on the cake. For those saying Carol sucks, blame Bendis. Fuck Civil War 2 so hard.
TEASER. TRAILER.
Done right.
Showed just enough.
Usual Marvel boring ...
Why are you even here?
Yeah, I now expect Mrvel to have a few fake outs in trailers now
I was hoping it was down to plot somehow as noted. For those wondering why Brie sounds so detached, this might have something to do with it:
Wouldn't it be funny if he keeps injuring his eye throughout the move?
I would rather they didn't turn Rogue into a generic flying brick.
Go the X-MEN EVOLUTION direction, use some creativity with her powers.
Let her hot swap powers from the other X-Men so that there is actual danger and suspense involved.
Have her do the Colossus + Cyclops + Angel combo, would be awesome on screen!

Marvel should give the Captain Marvel rights back to DC. This doesn't look good at all.
