Imagine if fucking Nike triggers a Civil War.

It would be hilarious until you read about like, 20,000 dead in the first two hours of the conflict because goddamn I think that can absolutely happen.

If anything, it would be because someone stood up (or knelt) for something. Not because Nike endorsed them.

I dont believe another civil war is going to happen regardless. Civil unrest but not an all out war.

this sounds unconstitutional

edit: non mandatory? then what's the fucking point
So Beauregard can make his cop friends feel better and he can say he defeated Kap and Nike.

People of the town spoke against the resolution, at least.
"Colin Kaepernick is using his First Amendment right to free speech to bring attention to the injustices faced by people of color. It's that simple," said Town Council and School Committee member Melissa Flaherty.

"People who choose to write it off as disrespect of soldiers or police in general are missing the point," Flaherty said. "Our town that is 96.6-percent white should really try to understand this issue better."

It's amazing at how little foresight people have and how self-involved people are.

How do they think this is going to play out? That Nike is going to change their ad? They get a shitty tweet from Trump? A bunch of Nazis visit for the weekend?
