Urgh. No preload for gamepass again sucks. Does the game at least launch at midnight EST so i can go to bed?
I'll set it away before I head out to work on the 2nd, and it should be ready for when I get home.
Makes me wonder what content will be on disc, since it's over 50GB. Hopefully it's just missing some cars that get auto-updated in a patch and the full game it playable from the disc.
That's how they've handled it in the past, where the base game is playable from start to finish, but the full car selection (or sometimes language options) are part of a patch.
Downloads should be working fine for the vast majority of people at this point, as they did for Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2.
There are some remaining fixes for minor issues which affect a small percentage of people going out via Windows Update tomorrow.
Yeah, I had been among those with pretty serious download issues closer to the Horizon 3 launch on one of my machines, but the store update that hit shortly after Sea of Thieves (?) addressed those for me. It's been reliable since, including when I've had to pause or switch connections mid-download.
Once bitten, twice shy, mind you.
This. I just bought 1tb to add to the 512 (which I thought would be enough). I thought we were getting a bunch of 30-40gb games this gen. Turns out games now are pretty much double that. Hopefully this I'll give me an easier time with these big ass games.
