What's the state/requirement on custom titles on ERA?

I've searched through the FAQ/ToS, and i couldn't find anything related to that aspect that's why i want to ask admins/mods on this topic: Is it something that one gets through some certain funny/memorable incident "e.g the Dreamcast Porno Party" dude, is there going to be a special type of thread for that reason like the old place (if my memory serves me correctly), or none of the above?

This hard-to-get act was one of the most annoying things about the old place and one of the most annoying about this place. I'm automatically distrustful of anyone with a tag, it makes me think they're on the take or something.

Is this really a concern? Someone's post are not getting better with a nice tagline/rang.

Nah its grumpy Monday and I don't want to work so don't listen to me.

I don't know, if I had a title that I felt I had to live up to I might actually put some more effort into my posts.

But I've also got a grumpy Monday and I don't want to work either, so don't listen to me.

Oh yea i think you are right that's not a factor I thought about.
But meh I still don't really care. But I always like to see some of those tags and think about where the Origin lies.

Yeah, the sense of the forum getting its own little...mythology, I guess, for lack of a better word.

I got one on the old site because I said I wished Microsoft had focused on more non-game stuff at E3. The tag itself was something along the lines of "Microsoft's E3 had too much focus on games." It was dumb and I ended up requesting it be removed.

My old tag was based on me not responding to a comment that I didn't see. I didn't like it, so I enjoy the reset(era). If it was based on your most popular thread on here, mine would be a mix of Joanna Newsom and genital herpes lol

Agree. I thought they weren't bringing them over here when the site went up, but it seems like a couple months ago they just started handing them out all over.

Also, if they are going to hand them out, wish they at least linked to the post. When you dont know the history behind the tag, it seems even more useless. Unless you had the OT Grandmaster Tag for a thread that was prior to the photobucket (?) ban at the old place and the thread was barren, then it was just comical.
