I would suspect they would hold back such an important character for a sequel.
Yeah I agree... Unless the third DLC is their way of introducing Venom and set the table for the sequel (please note that I have not finished the main game yet so no ending spoiler please).I would suspect they would hold back such an important character for a sequel.
Indeed, but as I said there are some that are never mentioned. They namedrop and/or show Sandman, Mysterio, Chameleon and Lizard as old villains that Spider-Man already dealt with but I would've liked to see them in a DLC. It could still happen I suppose.
Rad. More than anything I want Venom/Carnage, but I trust they have some good ideas regardless.there's 3 story DLC episodes coming but I think so far it's likely Black Cat + Silver Sable + someone else?
Not sure tbh, but a sequel seems like a given the way the ending is set-up.
I would like to see a Venom, but Carnage seems to clash with the tone of the game if you ask me. Maybe I don't know enough about the character, but isn't he like ultra violent and very 90's in that way?Indeed, but as I said there are some that are never mentioned.

That is how Carnage has been portrayed generally, yeah, but they've taken such liberties with other characters that I don't see why they couldn't come up with their own thing. Honestly though I found the writing and tone of the game to be pretty eye-rolling most of the time so I wouldn't personally be concerned about them going in a different direction with the DLC.I would like to see a Venom, but Carnage seems to clash with the tone of the game if you ask me. golgo 13 is good trashy funBianca's introduction to Anime is the same as mine(with a friend though not brother) except the first Anime I ever watched was Barefoot Gen as a young kid which sort of fucked me up. Then I saw the Fist of the North Star movie, Golgo 13 movie & Akira. After that I knew I was on board. Still have the ORION VHS tapes.
What didn't you like about it? I actually really enjoyed the tone of the game, but I'm not really well versed in the source material. I've only watched The Animated Series as a child. That is how Carnage has been portrayed generally, yeah, but they've taken such liberties with other characters that I don't see why they couldn't come up with their own thing. Hammerhead maybe? or bringing back tombstone?so I guess The Heist is the first one next month with Black Cat; second in November is Turf Wars and third in December is Silver Lining (so probably Silver Sable focused)
I'm also only 1/2 through the story still so no idea about the second one unless it's just more about the gangs already in it

I can't think of an anime character more badass than Tuxedo Mask.
Honestly the reception of the game's writing has been nearly universally positive. They maintained the spirit of the character very well, which is a lot more difficult than it sounds when you have such a popular character and have to make it work in a different medium.
Maybe the tone isn't to someone's taste, but the writing itself is pretty spot on.
my tomb raider blitzpressions
+ lots of puzzles so far
+ a whole lot less combat so far
+ game is suuuuuper pretty, like uc4 levels of pretty and Lara looks Kingsglaive level cgi quality at times
+ Jonah actually gets to be a character for once, mostly, and the banter between him and Lara is good, mostly
- actual story is still pretty whatever, I still don't know what they want to do with Lara as a characterthe whole "this tsunami is my fault!" and "it's not all about you Lara! we have to help these people!" coulda been interesting if they actually, uh, did something with it
just cuts to the next scene and there's a little tension that's gone and not brought up again after their next shared catastrophe
like, why does he even associate with her???
- puzzles can be a little iffy, like I know what do to but I don't know how they want me to do it
- I enjoyed what I played of it but I can't say I'm really eager to continue
in short, fans of the genre will probably enjoy it
Yeah I would say the main character is probably the low point of DQXI for me so far... His design is kinda boring and the whole silent protag feels really off in a RPG like this one where everybody else talks so much
ok, I'm only in 13:00 still, but someone really needs to play 428 so we can get Kajiwara and Tama into GOTY character discussions
What the fuck?My main disappointment with this game is the lack of the classic black (symbiote) suit.
It's not Windows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ody is there an advantage or key feature about Linux/Elementary OS besides aesthetics?
It's not Windows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Depending on the distro, it can be lighter on resources required.
Yeah I'm seriously surprised we haven't got a peep about that game from giantbomb. I thought it would have been Vinny's shit entirely.
What happened to fmvinny guys.
What did they do to him.
I wonder if it being PS4/PC isn't helping; most of the VN stuff he's played has been on handhelds, and I assume that'd help due to his commute and all that
I wish it was on Vita cause I'd play it more too
especially as if I want to play it while eating I have to use Remote Play on my laptop and it works horrible despite literally being across the room with a very fast internet connection
I used the "default" one for a while, then switched to the one from the Black Cat missions but didn't really like it very much, and settled on the Homecoming suit.

Btw, just got the platinum for it, fantastic game.
I don't know about the series but I enjoyed the film(I'm sure it's the same which as you say is some good trashy fun).
.Has there been any word on when ASG is likely to be coming back?

Dan is going to be such a pain in this GOTY when Spider-Man gets brought up, judging by the Beastcast.
Has he played VNs in the vita? I feel like he always referred to those mockingly.
It's a personal GB list. If he doesn't like it that should be reflected in their list. It's a reflection of no one else's opinion or enjoyment of the game. I think people tie their own validation of games too closely to GB's totally arbitrary lists.

Nah, it'll pretty much go the same way it went on the Beastcast with some additional Jeff dunks. He's the only person I've heard complain about Spider-Man being a "dweeb".Dan is going to be such a pain in this GOTY when Spider-Man gets brought up, judging by the Beastcast.
Hot Take: MAHVEL'S Spiderman and Dad of War will either come in "11th" or "12th" or be first off the list anyways.
