No. Plus the sky looks static. Clouds don't appear to be moving. This makes me think that the final game will be even more beautiful.

Okay I figured. That's one thing I'm seriously upset about, if the game is ready for release and there's no fiscal-year reason to push the game away release it! Effectively delaying a release and then milking impatient people so they can play it at the earliest possible release date is shady as hell.
I'm getting a weird error on PC where it's like textures aren't loading in properly. It kinda starts like pop-in, but then it gets worse to where, like, the texture on the road disappears, and if I just keep going full speed, I often run into some sort of invisible wall and just stop, and then the texture comes back and I can drive again. Not always just on the immediate road either, I've seen a time or two where I notice that a hill in the distance clearly has rendered stuff sitting on it, but the texture goes away so it looks like all that stuff is floating.
It seems like it tends to be a loading thing or something, because every time I've gotten it, it's near the beginning of a section, and I haven't ran into it at the end of any of the intro segments. It also happened at the start of the race the first time I ran the benchmark (although it didn't stop the cars that time), and then I re-ran the benchmark, and it didn't happen on the second run.

Well, it's one of the perks of the Ultimate Edition. A lot of games are going this route.
Turn10 / Playground Games seriously do presentation and "drama" better than anyone else I can think of. The entire intro to the FH4 demo is just masterful.

I played it. I thought it was fine. I want to love this series but I find myself getting bored after a few hours. I'll stick to Burnout Paradise this year.

You clearly didn't get me at all. It's likely the regular launch of FH4 could have been the 28th September, marketing and all included, I don't believe any second otherwise. But instead they chose to push the regular release a few days back so they can push impatient people to buy the Ultimate Edition. I personally don't care, I don't mind waiting a few days, I was merely mentioning it because it sort of displays the beginning of a new anti-consumer practice that might or might not evolve to something even worse in the coming years.
I merely asked if the Game Pass trial included early access or not because if it were I would have taken advantage of it because why shouldn't I? If a major billion-dollar corporation uses morally questionable tactics to get more money I, as a consumer, will also use every advantage I can take within the law.
And to any devs reading this, I know it's very likely not in the decision of Playground Games but rather a decision of the publisher, you guys and girls made an awesome game, I don't want to detract from that and I look forward to play it! :)
Nothing is confirmed until we see comparison shots of PC version with maxed out settings vs XBX in same exact locations.

went through the demo again to get to a point where I can drift the escort, it's pretty fun
wonder if general release is autumn, but $100 edition starts in summer since they get to play early
I feel like it will be since
A) it's obvious fall in real life in the northern hemisphere
B) they say at the end of the demo you qualified for the Autumn events

Depends alot on the reset day i think. Maybe indeed the Ultimate edition starts summer to bridge it until tuesday and then full release and new season Autumn. I think indeed for the full release they want to have the new seasons first and summer last. As that is not "new"
So do we know if single player story missions will be tied to seasons?

- Seasons for free roam change weekly for everyone. This also allows them to do weekly and seasonal exclusive events.
- Seasons for all the individual events (excluding some fixed seasonal races) can be set up freely with the Bluepring system. So you can choose the Season you want to race that event in.
- If you really want to play a specific season in free roam you could still do that offline by changing your local date.
The opening is amazing, and it ran like butter on initial boot. Now it hitches every 5 seconds and I have no idea why.

You can upgrade in the demo after you accumulate some cash and unlock all the cars
I looked at the wings for Senna last night and if I remember correctly I believe it's only the option to have the stock wing or the forza Wing. I do not believe there was an option to remove it
I think the start of the game will go through the four seasons, and once you finish that the current global season will begin

Nice, like that you can still do the blueprints but having the free roam season change will be a lot of fun.
Trees are graded and by sight you can tell which ones will break if you hit them or stop your car.
