As long it's just emergency alerts of the highest order, that's fine. If it's anything other than that it should be ripped up.

By default you can disable all alerts (Amber / weather / etc..) except presidential. But I think with some custom Android ROMs you can disable it.

I imagine Trump sending "WITCH HUNT!!!" presidential alert at 2 am on Friday. As an European it made me laugh. If I were American I would be too scared it could become reality soon.
