What new Warlock super is worth going for first?. I just started leveling my boosted Warlock so completely new to the class. I just leveled a Hunter to 30 and I'm thinking of going for solar for blades first whenever I start Forsaken with him.

week 2,

I like Tangled Shore better than Dreaming City.

I hate the cryptic Bounties that make no sense "Do Ascendant Challenge" okay, I guess I will have Google it because fuckin' game doesn't say. I go ahead with the challenge, nothing make sense, I kill two Knights after doing the 3 orbs tihng, couldn't find the other Knights because the visuals make no sense. I failed the Ascendant Challenge. Fuck you Bungie and your Raidy rules . If I wanted weird Raid rules, I would play the Raid.

It so sad what happened to Dreaming City. "Deleiver an Offering" Okay, where am I going to put this, up my ass? LOL I had too Google it to find out where the hell it is. So stupid.

I'm not too happy with the direction Bungie is going. The game needs more "mid-game" content because it's the "mid-game" that is really fun not the Cryptic Loosey Goosey Raid Rules stuff

game fails when I have to Google or Youtube search what I am supposed to do in this "Dreaming City"

Some of the greatest content throughout Destiny has been built on secrets for the playerbase to discover, leaving most of us googling it based on what others have found as a result. It is what it is.

This has been the case as far back as the Taken King, Rise of Iron, Warmind, Whisper and now here. I don't know why this is getting to you now. By all means, you can stick to your "mid-game content" by simply not doing this stuff, which is designed to be endgame in mind. The entirety of the Dreaming City is designed as an endgame zone. Secrets galore, discoveries to be made. Bask in it.

It depends. Well of Radiance is an essential support ability for a fireteam, but just as useful to a Warlock alone just for survivability, as you will practically never die in a Well of Radiance. The exotic, Phoenix Protocol, gives you well after well after well to pop as well. Chaos Reach is a good super for minor add clearing, dealing damage to single targets from a safe distance and its just stupidly fun to use. Also quite good in Gambit when invading. Nova Warp shines the most in PVP with its teleportation and AoE attacks that can wipe out a team without them realizing what just happened.

Overall, Well of Radiance for team play, Chaos Reach for damage dealing, and Nova Warp for PVP. I personally think Well of Radiance is the most powerful one, being extremely useful for solo players, fireteams (especially in the raid), and even in PVP.

Thanks for input. Knew Well was good but wasn't sure if it I needed to grab it asap for solo play until I get to 500 PL. And now that I think about the initial mission is probably best to get to the melee versus the farming it otherwise.

Wouldn't count on it. Some people still don't understand how to play control.
Haha true.

Since I didn't play the Gambit beta when it first hit my first couple games were a nightmare lol. I was nervous, quick couple questions here and a 2 minute video on YT cleared it up for me.

Maybe some players are just a little nervous and ignorant too. Which will change... eventually. It's also quite difficult not getting one shorted by sleepers.

The thing is most people are bad with objective based modes. They treat everything like it's a Team Deathmatch or atleast those were most of the randoms I played with.

If I'm a little bit on the fence about spending 40 euros again for the expansion, would it be a good idea to start with the season pass and see if I'm liking the game or is that not an accurate enough representation of what the game currently contains?

Damn. Thanks anyway.

Back to purgatory.

I'm not actually sure how you'd complete this quest currently. Wasn't a change made where all exotics now decrypt on pick up?

If you haven't finished the vanilla campaign, however, Zavala will give you an exotic engram at the end that you could feasibly use to finish that quest.

Other than that, maybe they've altered the quest?

The first two DLCs are pretty bad IMO, not really the best impression the game has to offer. That said, you should probably play them if you're thinking about going into the new expansion just so you level up and get some new gear.

I'm kind of tempted by Forsaken now after having finished Spidey. That said, I'm a new dad with limited time and not really able to play with people, is this expansion any good for a solo player?

I was wondering if this was the case.

You get the quest prompt after the campaign, but I've finished it either way. I read somewhere Leviathan raid awards an exotic engram, is that right, or does that auto decrypt?

Thinking back, I don't even think the campaign engram was removed from Zavala, and just decrypted there. So I probably can't even finish my Warlock vanilla and transfer across.

Anyone else being told the servers are not available?

On ps4, getting ATTENTION - Destiny 2 servers are not available message when I try to log in, but people are telling me the game is up?

EDIT: seems my network was just being a jerk, righted itself.

Anyone up for helping me with Blind Well clears?

I need 50% for the weekly and I still need the seed.

PL515, I can handle T3 fine. I ran into a group last night who tried it, and I was doing enough damage, but the group weren't focused enough. We handled T2 easily twice, then they all left.

Cannot find a group at all, public or pre-made, and I just want this done.

PSN astropoff if anyone is willing or needs it too.

man i am super frustrated trying to get the first boss done with 3 randoms and 2 friends, we had kalli down to 30% and they just leave the group after 3 tries...it is super exhausting to explain the tactics everytime again and looking for new people

Still pissed of about the exotic Engram I got yesterday.
Why on earth does AOS, a quest weapon drops from that? I thought the duplicated problem was sorted out!?!

I managed to get to the Vault (4th encounter) in the raid. I'm at work right now but might actually leave early. I'm not sure if I'm having a slight panic attack (absolutely no history of anxiety) or on the verge of having a heart attack (29 years old, no history of heart or cardiovascular issues). I may leave and go to an urgent care center and then go home. I don't know. I hate calling out of work. My co-workers and superiors think I should leave too. But today is one of those days where they really want us to be in. Sort of a "all hands on deck" kind of day. In fact, I came in three hours early. I don't want my absence to make me look bad. I take my job very seriously.

In other news, I plan on beating this damn raid before reset on Tuesday. I'm sure I will.

Just take care of yourself first. This doesn't sound healthy.

So from 500-520, I should work on any milestones that reward powerful gear before tackling any Dreaming City stuff, right? Daily heroic stories, Crucible, strikes, etc?

Then from 520 on I work on DC stuff?

Also, for someone that missed out, is it still possible for me to get the Sleeper and Worm?

The other day I was up for over 24 hours. I didn't eat for like 20 or more. I made sure to get a normal night's worth of sleep last night, mainly because I have work today. I can't afford to be a wreck going into work. Its not a good look and plus I just wouldn't be able to function at all. I feel "fine" besides some throbbing and numbness. Breathing is fine. It may just be a panic attack. But from what? I've never had one so I have no frame of reference or know what it feels like. This could be some anomaly. I've made major changes to my routine lately, namely going to a gym, taking more vitamins and supplements (no weird shit). So I have no idea. But no serious pain though.

Firstly, take care of yourself! Nobody will think less of you for being sick!

As for vault, that's a fairly easy encounter when you know what to do. We did it in less than two hours last night; in fact it was probably the second quickest encounter after the first one. Shuro Chi and Morgeth kicked our arses for about 17 hours between them, which was pretty brutal. Now just Riven!

I'm 30 and I can't stay up for 24h anymore, so this post hits close to home. It hits me like a hangover now. The fact that you didn't eat probably made it worse, my guy.

Take care of yourself. Don't skip sleep and/or food for this. I know you're really passionate about beating the raid but don't let it come at the cost of your well-being. Please.

Found Hardlight last night. Haven't tried this gun since Destiny 1 when it was pretty mediocre.

Seems pretty good so far. The ability to switch between dmg types is super comfy, and the range and lack of damage fall off make it an effective all round AR. It seems to be a pretty strong foundation for a loadout.

Quite impressed.

"Forgetting" to eat is a habit of mine for a while. I get caught up in work or a task that I just become so focused that I want to finish until it's done. I made sure to eat last night and this morning.

I have the "gotta get it done" mind set. Failure isn't an option. Gotta get shit done, whatever it takes. Not just Destiny (it's just a dumb game after all), but with everything. It what separates those who make it and those who don't.

I'm at work right now. Feeling okay, depsite everyone here telling me to leave. I might dip out after my extra three hours this morning. So at the least, I can say I came in early before most people. I'm in good standing at my job. I just don't wanna fall out of that.

The campaign mission to gain entry to the Dreaming City literally walks you through the process of delivering an offering to the oracle. Sorry to sound like a bit of a dick, but perhaps pay attention more if it offends you to google things you did yesterday, imo.
the Ascendant Challenge is completely a dick mission, you can't see anytihng, it's like running blind. There are several Kngights to take care of, I can't see where the 3rd one is, if I fall off the map: it's failure.

it's TERRIBLE game design. Not only is it cryptic, but you can't see shit

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't tie a CONSUMABLE requirement before starting it. Waste it, and LOL

the weekly Milestone is tied to three weekly bounties completion. There are no more, I burned the Assendant Bounty because I don't have the CONSUMABLE anymore to give it another try.

the ultimate best part of Forsaken is the Warden of Nothing Strike. Now that is amazing Destiny

I mean, the consumable lasts 30 minutes and can be bought from a vendor
I'm not sure what you are having problems with specifically, I did each ascendant challenge solo in about 10min each so far

Or the could have known that this would cause outrage and said something ahead of it but then I guess thats expecting too much.

Nah, that's on them for not communicating it ahead of time.

It also says "there will be" without giving a time frame. Right now, that's the only way.

While I would love it if they kept it raid exclusive, I think it was always common sense that it wasn't going to stay that way. It doesn't matter that Bungie didn't say anything beforehand or hasn't given a timeframe yet. There was no way they were going to keep it locked there.

The game is in the best state it's ever been in. It's actually to the point where it may dethrone D1. People need to stop freaking out over every little thing.

Also be advised that there is a new Weekly Gambit bounty that offers a powerful engram upon completion. Using the Untsable charge for the Blind Well and successfully completing the event also gives a powerful engram too.

I talked to one of my department managers (who is super nice and really cool). She said it was fine if I left. I'm gonna go home soon, rest and chill today. Definitely gonna try and beat Vault today and then see about Riven and the final encounter. But more importantly, I just wanna chill. It's been a long two weeks or so.

I appreciate the concern. I'll be alright :)
