I dig that you can drive anywhere, but is there a noticeable satisfying 'grip' that the actual paved/stoned roadways have that differentiates the gameplay between regular roads and offroading on grass or dirt?
Yeah, it sucks when trying to compare directly. Play at 30 first...it takes a period of time to adjust back after playing at 60.
It's a Play Anywhere title, so it should work on both PC and XBOX via Game Pass. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
This game looks gorgeous and runs like a dream on PC. Much better than FH3. Wow. Idk if I really want to get it though, these games never hold my attention too long, the "racing" never feels right or intense enough for me to enjoy. Turning the AI up so that they get crazy fast times doesn't fix the feeling. I think it's just the layouts of the races, I much prefer tight competitive turns with lots of strategy going on in the race to win. Might still get it because its decent fun and looks so good, i just can never fall in love with playing them even though i really want to. I guess that's how all open world racers are and track racers are more my thing, I've still yet to love the racing in any of them.
Loving the 21:9 support. I geeked out when I saw that the side mirror actually let me see the cars behind me. Loving this.
How bad is pop up in this, because I'm watching a video now and it's pretty noticeable, and the weird thing is, in the comments section someone is saying that they haven't got anything like that on Xbone OG.
Can we buy VIP pass with Gamepass copy? I don't see any upgrade on the store, only full deluxe and ultimate.

There's some weird LOD bugs on PC. Even with everything at ultra on PC there's still less pop in on my X1X.
I know they do it for demo reasons, but man it's so annoying your progress resets on every restart..
Yeah I can't say I noticed that on the x1x, it's pretty obvious in that vid
Xbox One S owner here. This game looks phenomenal. At least with the bit I played from the demo. Sense of speed is amazing too.
I am instantly buying this game. Going all-in on the Ultimate Edition.
I am curious about how it runs on my Desktop though (i7 6700k, GTX 1070, 32GB Ram)
I only played FH3 on my PC and I see immediate visual improvements with FH4 maybe it's a placebo effect or something but perhaps being able to see this game with HDR enabled has something to do with it.

Well this is going to sound weird coming from my previous post, but pop up isn't too bad on my system. I came away being impressed with the improvements over FH3.
Visually it has had an noticeable bump up. Trees are way more better and is most vegetation. I have played only a little of FH3.
One thing that didn't get fixed is the shadows flickering in the distance. Better filtering might be needed.
I chose the Focus ST. Had a great time driving it around and love the new interior and exterior sounds and how well the car feels going over different terrain. Nice per object motion blur when crashing through the stone barriers :).
Have they added a dash cam? Don't remember it in FH3.
You can continue your game unlike the FH3 demo :D

That's why i've stopped using chrome and went firefox never looked back again.
Here's how it is on my PC maxed out
FPS are in the 50's while recording, but it's normally well over 60.

Even the demo has my mind on full blown steam on how racing games should be..this and Drive Club are my favorite racing games of all time.

I wish I could get the sound to work. So far it runs and looks better than forza horizon 3 for me. It's funny how a MS developer seems to have so many technical issues on PC. lol
It's only not sold separately for the preorder period. The description says it is sold separately or with the Ultimate Add on Bundle.
That's a shame. It's running perfect for me. Have you tried updating drivers.
Can you Pre-load off the MS store PC?
Did you try Right clicking the volume button in the task bar, clicking Sounds > Playback tab > double click the output device > Enhancements tab > and if "Disable all enhancements" is checked, uncheck it and all the others as well, then apply. Then restart your PC.

Have you tried disabling the sound through the graphics card settings menu? I just disable all the other ports as I had a bit if an issue on first play.
Thanks for that, because even though I feel the issue isn't as bad on my PC.. It could certainly still be improved.
I understand the whole parity thing, and wanting all players to have a similar core experience across versions... but there should really be no reason technically why things like draw distance LODs and foliage can't be pushed out a lot further on PC. Push it out far and future proof the game for a bit. It seems like that's what the "extreme" settings are for, but that they certain settings aren't working properly.
Please mention that to the team. Of course as well as thank you for providing us a demo in the first place and building this amazing series.
I tried, it's easy to catch them, but you just push the stiff model away.

That's why I assumed they had to give up captured skies, I thought it was already an insane amount of data in FH3 that had to be multiplied by 4.
Xbox one X bundle with FH4 announced yet ? I think I'll finally bite then.
This game is going to make PG games and MS a lot of money. I'm seeing people who haven't played racing games in a long while or any of the FH games being so excited about FH4. PG games sure are talented. Bring on your next project. It will be a day one purchase too.
