Spider-Man spoiler mode promo continues to do work.

Since it was posted (5 days ago) they have gained 265 new patrons and at the new all time high of 7928

I really want to see them hit that 8k patron mark this month.

They are about to pass the 50k mark without the help of the mega-sponsor.
That's pretty cool news.

Also, to make the super-sponsor tier more enticing, why not add a small logo on screen during the entire podcast for that tier.
Something like the Hoeg Law logo during Easy Livin' but maybe a bit smaller.

To be honest I dont expect that tier to ever be filled by anyone other than hoeg, blue or dark knight. Who knows though.

If that video was uploaded four days earlier, it would've been exactly on the 15th anniversary of the movie.

Yep, it's cool to see and with a likely Red Dead spoiler mode next month the momentum should hopefully continue

We've considered it for some time, but unfortunately, buildin' studios ain't cheap.

Sweet justice ? Big fan of your audio and podcast sponsorships

I'd love a Kiwami 2 spoiler mode for October. If not that then DQ11

RDR2 is a lock for Nov unless they give allies enough codes to pull a Spidey

If I ever win the lottery, I will give EZA something.

Or if I ever get large amounts of money.

These people are so special to me...they have helped get me through so much

Same. I'm not usually one to get involved in gaming communities, but I really do appreciate what these folks have done for me these past two and a half years and I hope to pay it back in a big way someday.

OMG that Brad video is the best. So happy we're living in the Rainy Day Timeline.

And it's all thanks to Lara Croft.

Same here. I wish I could do more than just being a lower tier patron, these people have helped me get through the toughest time of my life. I hope to be able to thank them properly someday.

No mention of Project Awakening in the Podcast? at all?

whaaaaa

even something like DOA6 got time. So it's not like it was only new games or unlikely remasters. (And they didn't know the game had been previously announced regardless)
especially weird considering they like souls and MH type stuff.

was curious about Ian and Jones's take.

Out of the entire Sony conference that game looked the coolest to me. Kinda surprised Kyle didn't write it down as a talking point either. Probably just forgot. Too many games.

Whoah Kyle's spidy costume video views might catch jones' review at this rate. Crazy the like/dislike ratio and some of the comments though haha. Guess lots couldn't handle bosman's hot takes.

Their Patreon number is kind of going berserk in a good way right now. At the rate they're going, decent chance they hit 8k Patrons in the next few days or so. They're also just under 50k and the MEGA sponsor is yet to be filled.

In other really good news, Youtube subs have been doing extremely well since Spiderman. Currently on pace for September to be one of their best months ever besides launch and E3 months.

And here is an unrelated dumb story that maybe only anyone in this thread might enjoy - I beat Kiwami 2 just as the EZA's Nintendo Direct coverage was starting. I guess flipping to Twitch on my PS4 might have caused my end of game save to go screwy? Anyways, it's an EXCELLENT game that is eons better than the decent Kiwami, but doesn't reach the highs of Yakuza 0 (which should be a shoo-in as a "Great"). One of my favorite parts of 0 was the Cabaret club minigame that I hardly had touched in Kiwami 2, but I had basically reserved that and a few other side stories for Premium Adventure mode that I was highly looking forward to. ANYWAYS, like I said, end of game save was kind of screwy and when I went and started Premium Adventure mode none of my progress had been saved. This caused me to go in a panic, and admittedly did stupid things as I started playing around with save files and overwrote my save file. Like I said, not my finest moment.

So, my solution was to restart the game and play Kiwami 2 in "speedrunner" mode. Basically, skip every cutscene and speed through every conversation...and, it has been a lot of fun! In a handful of hours, i'm basically at the end of the game once again. Trying to "maximize" EXP gain while basically not meandering around because I know the story has been an interesting way to play the game. It's just a funny way to play a Yakuza game after caring so much about the story and just cutting it down to the bare gameplay has been an interesting change. Also helps because that the Dragon Engine and combat has been a lot of fun.

Anyways, lesson learned. More than one save file going forward and the promise to not be an "idiot."

Good review! I'm pretty deep into Kiwami 2 right now and it tracks pretty well with my experience with the game. I think when all is said and done, I'll probably put it right under Yakuza 0 (have played 0, Kiwamis 1 and 2). The main story writing is much better than 1, but I'm finding the substories to be relatively simplistic (understandable given this is a remake).

I've played all these relatively close to one another, so it's been really fascinating to see the Yakuza team's abilities grow in between games (with 0 as a culmination). Really looking forward to see how Judge Eyes turns out as a result.

(Also, review goof: talks about how beautiful Kamurocho is, footage shown is Sotenbori :P)

I agree. I finished the story yesterday and started and finished the added story today. I liked the game and had a great 55 hours or so, but I wasn't to blown away with most of the substories in Kiwami 2. I have played and finished 4, 0, kiwami 1, 6 and kiwami 2 (in that order) and while it has been years since I've played 4 (I apparently finished it in 2011), I feel that Kiwami 2 has the worst side stories from the ones I have played (it's not super bad or anything, the substories are just one of my favorite parts of the other Yakuza games). That said, I was really sucked into the main story while I usually only go further in the main story when I have nothing else to do, in this one there were times where I was rushing a bit more through the story because I was really curious.

I wanted to play some more today and finish the substories I haven't finished yet, but some of them don't want to trigger (had the same problem in Yakuza 6 with one or two of the substories) and every trophy I am missing seems like a grindfest, so I will probably stop playing it.
I really like the game, but it ranks under 0 and 4 for me and possibly under 6 as well. Even though that one felt barebone, I really liked the substories of 6.

I can't wait for Judge Eyes and Yakuza 3 and especially 5 on PS4 (I will probably buy 4 again to support the Yakuza games, but I am not sure if I'm going to play it again, I have played it for over 100 hours back in the day and I probably won't have time to do that again).

I really liked the review as well (but I also spotted the Sotenbori goof).

I don't think any Yakuza game can give me what 0 gave me. I've played Kiwami 1 and 6 and all I can think during the whole playthrough "they are not 0."

Part of me wants to play Kiwami 2, but I know I'll have the exact same response.

The Kill Your Babies episodes are some of my favourite EZA videos.
It's a flawed game without a win state. They aren't killing their babies until the very end nor are they even hate drafting most of the time.

It's crazy how Call of Duty was at the bottom of my personal desire index like a month or so ago. Now it's top 5. Kudos Treyarch.

On another note I could've sworn they did a Spider-Man Spoiler mode. I can't find it anywhere on the Patreon. Is it not out yet?

@EasyAllies
Patreon is a great way to provide you with exclusives, but it isn't always easy to find older posts. If you're looking to catch up on And For That Reason, Spoiler Mode, or Cup of Jones, check these quick episode guides for links. https://forums.easyallies.com/topic/4919/patreon-exclusives-episode-guide …
Patreon is a bit messy to navigate so Blood has been keeping track of all the Patreon-exclusive content in an easy-to-read list. You can find the link in that Twitter post (also posted on the first page so it'll always be easy to find).
