"It's definitely enhanced," Pollice told GamingBolt. "We have a dynamic resolution scaling feature so the game is smooth all the time."

Interestingly enough, he also mentioned that the game's PS4 Pro version's specs will be a bit below its Xbox One X counterpart – which is usually the case with most games, actually, given the Xbox One X's superior hardware – but also mentioned that the difference will be "barely noticeable", and that the game will look "similarly nice" on Sony's enhanced console.

If power was always the point, Xbox One X would be the dominant system, but it's not

no need to feel insecure... be like Nintendo fans and pretend like it doesn't bother you to not be the most powerful ;)

Most of the time being "noticeable" depends entirely on any given individual's perception and personal standards.

Start of this gen:

Xbox One fans: "the differences are barely noticeable"
PS4 fans: "the differences are noticeable"

Now:

PS4 fans: "the differences are barely noticeable"
Xbox One fans: "the differences are noticeable"

No, I'm a PS4 "owner" that presumes the differences will be very noticeable. The One X is a more powerful machine.

I mean isn't this the case with most games?

I remember it being the same back when the Xbone X didn't exist. It was mostly a bit lower than the PS4 but not by much.

Does it even matter? People already know the power difference, if they care for it they've bought an X. If they don't, they might be happy with their PS4 Pro.

It's hilarious how ppl that own a PS4 downplay the power of these boxes now that the XboxOne is the more powerful system. A total 180 from the beginning of this gen but I'll let y'all cook...

"but it will be 'barely noticeable'"
And I believe that, as I likely wouldn't notice anyway.
Bring on the Darksiders.

Well
Xbox One = more expensive and weaker
PS4 = less expensive and stronger

Xbox One X = more expensive and stronger but 1 year later
PS4 Pro = less expensive and weaker but 1 year earlier

How do you know it's the same people saying those things?

Also, to be fair: I DO think the difference between being sub-1080p v. 1080p is more significant/relevant to more people than checkerboard 4K v. true 4K.

Im not sure the resolution difference in call of duty WW2, but I could see a difference after playing on the pro for a long time then swapping to the one X. In there end there is a difference and cant see why it would bother most ps4 owners if they havnt seen it on the other console they aint missing nothing. Have to say though for me the extra resolution bump on some games may seem small on paper but it helps the game look more polished in some cases.

It was not for some reason but both OG Xbox and 360 had better looking multiplatform games than the respective PlayStation counterpart. PS4 was the time they could pay back from all the suffering years.

PS3 exclusives looked better than everything though, so it balanced out. Also lol at considering it "suffering".

It's funny aswell 2 friends swapped the ps4 for an xbox one and they swear COD looks better on the xbox. Don't get me started on people I know thinking the one S is a 4k games machine and that its more powerful than a ps4.

It was suffering, how many PS3 multi platform games were straight trash compared to the 360.

Sub HD and garbage frame rates were the norm, I mean look how awful bayonetta and fallout were on PS3. The difference between Xbox 1 and PS4 ain't comparable to last gen. I'll never forget how cruddy lost planet and the darkness PS3 looked.

No, I have a 49 4k but when I play from couch (2 meters away) I am not able to see difference upwards of 1080. Then again I have to get closer for most games because of the small UI but I can see situations where people wouldn't notice.
Oh I can see why if you are sitting far away from the TV with a smaller screen. Though to be honest I would of thought you could at that distance and screen size but it obviously depends on the person aswell. I used to game on a 42 inch 4k screen and could see the difference from 1080p to 4k but I did sit close.

Par for the course really. He's trying to promote the game and it isn't really a controversial statement for the majority of the gaming population.

All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again.

Honestly the game will probably look rough no matter what platform it's on if the footage we've seen so far is any indication. So grab your gun and bring in the cat.

You would think so, but then you get posts like these....

Can't believe people still go back in fourth about what looks better on what console. Who cares lol. It's going to look amazing on both at the end of the day. Xbox one x is always going to look a little better, facts.

Nah...the differences have never been enough for a person to buy the other console just because.

It's media outlets that analyse pixel-by-pixel and frame-by-frame for other to jump on the bandwagon. If those type of outlets didn't exist I doubt there would be many people saying 'Yeah, this game clearly has 20% more pixels on this platform'.

It's insane, really.

Enjoy the bloody game, man/woman.
