Addam is like a foot taller than Rex (yes this matters) and also the battle system is nothing like Base Xenoblade 2. He would never be an echo.
Rex & Pyra/Mythra will be one character and they can transform at will just like in the game cause Sakurai would never veer so far from the source material just to make an extra fighter.

Yeah, but Pushdustin is going to check it out and see if it's a legit or not.
My prediction for 5 potential brand new stages (I seriously doubt that it's retro stages)
1) Minecraft (rumored)
2) Alolan Stage (Pokemon Sun and Moon)
3) Monster Hunter stage (one that we see in 8.8 Direct)
4) Namco Bandai Museum stage (with Pac Maze)
5) Another third party stage that might be even a big deal
I'm expecting For Glory to be the same thing as in Smash 4 but it randomly chooses between Omega forms and Battlefield forms and it lets you play as Miis. Zero expectation of Smashdown or Squad Strike or Special Smash being online, even among friends. I am hoping they bring back online tourneys though.
I am. My wishlist:
-Party system for playing 2v2 matchmaking on the same team as an online friend
-No more endless lobbies for For Glory, instead have a single set with players mutually agreeing to rematches until a best of three is won.
-Numerous neutral stages in For Glory selected at random. I'd rather not have manual stage selection since it would interfere with the snappiness of getting into a match.
-Ranking system for matchmaking purposes
-Smashdown, Squad Strike, and every other Smash mode playable online, if only in private matches
-Online co-op/versus for stadium minigames, event matches, and everything else that supports multiple players would be fantastic
-and more, prolly

Nice. Was just about to tweet at him. Guess we'll see soon enough. If there are 5 more stages it could *potentially* throw a wrench in the Box Theory. Though I don't know why they'd be revealed in corocoro of all places...
If the Monster Hunter thing is an actual stage that might also throw a wrench into the idea that Blurry Green Mode is a Story mode.

The version they were playing on was clearly single player. Just like the Dracula battle. The stage was way too big and flat to be multiplayer
There's still the possibility that there's a multiplayer variant of the stage.
I mean if it's a single player version of a multiplayer stage as opposed to something entirely original, that implies more of an Adventure mode than a Story mode.
I mean if they weren't, why weren't they announced alongside the others?
The special smash stuff likely will not be online at all yeah. And I understand why its better to focus on less modes to be able to find games quickly.
If there's stadium type modes then a leaderboard would be cool.
Party system is important but the netcode they were using meant that if even one player was on dodgy wifi it could lag everyone big time.
This is one of their biggest games that will be using the online subscription so I do expect at least a few improvements over smash 4

108 would be wonderful. I was holding out hope for 1-2 more but 5 more is awesome. Also a good chance at least one of those is from an unrevealed series
A Minecraft stage would get a special announcement with or without a newcomer attached to it. A Rhythm Heaven stage would, too.

They're not gonna blur out a plain ass adventure mode after the criticism of the lack of story mode in Smash For. That would be getting peoples hopes up for no reason
I've always been of the belief that we were getting Ancestral Steppe as a multiplayer stage anyway. Makes no sense to me to create the assets for a single player only stage when they are so proud of how many stages there are

Well, there was absolutely no way that last stage count was final when there wasn't even a stage from Sun and Moon
A plain ass adventure mode would likely be under Games & More alongside classic and all star like in Melee
If I had to guess the remaining five stages, I'll go with...
- Alola stage (Pokémon Sun/Moon)
- Minecraft stage (Minecraft)
- Ancestral Steppe (Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate)
- [Insert stage for rumored Square Enix rep here]
- [Insert surprise stage here]
Honestly the most significant part of that games single player were the stadium modes. World records are still being beaten for both targets and home run.
I really really do not want another Angry Birds mode :S
