Really, it's this way with any panel lottery for enthusiasts. The 3DS was sort of a nightmare with that.
Par for the course for displays on expensive tech (and even dirt cheap tech like the 3DS lmao)
Don't get me wrong - i understand that these things happen, especially on the 3DS. And once multiple vendors shipping multiple different qualities of displays is a thing that's confirmed, the displays having been tested (by displaymate), i'd understand anyone who'd attempt to outplay the panel lottery.
But right now, we have no idea IF there are LG panels, WHICH DEVICES possibly have them, IF they're at all INFERIOR - (like, what if Apple got LG to make really really good panels, like better ones than Samsung even?)
That's what i don't subscribe to - the paranoia about something we have close to zero information about.
Like, we're producing this year's "-gate" before the devices even ship, that's a new record.
