I'm sure that many of you have known about the ol' vape naysh and all the early commentaries he did on ridiculous videos . They were fun, they mocked people making bad videos. Not just bad videos though, people that were just generally wrong. Prank vids, Joey Salads, etc. At some point that style had run it's course.

Obviously they ran into a lawsuit from "That Bold Guy" at some point and then all the content from their channel changed.

This is when I sort of tapped out. Every video was a discussion about youtube politics. He did a few vids here and there but they weren't all that great.

Then his podcast came about and it's clearly not something he is good at. Over and over he seems to engage in subjects that he has no understanding of, or has clearly not researched. For the first time I'm actually seeing criticism of him from other YouTubers.

I don't think this board has a positive opinion of him, and I really don't either. He seems to have had one of the fastest rises and falls on YouTube from what I've seen. Who is his audience anymore?

Same. I liked them better when they were just a charming, down to earth couple that made fun videos. Then they started to actually get involved with the whole YouTube scene and that's where it went downhill. Also, the memes they spawned have become insufferable.

Edit: Wow, I just checked their YT channel and it's really grown. They must be raking in that cash.

He's a spineless worm that gives a platform to any shit head with a pulse. Jon Tron, Joey Salads, etc. His podcast is a poor YouTuberz-edition imitation of stuff like Joe Rogan, which is saying something considering Joe Rogan is as much of a faux intellectual dumb ape as they come.

He's also a fucking baby when he gets criticized on Twitter.

He was fun when it was vape naysh and he did the boybands song, even for criticizing Joey salads.

Than he seemed to straddle the line of alt right and being friends with jontron didn't help either.

He's one of those people that has the habit of siccing his followers on people knowing full well the torrent of rape and murder threats they'll send, then acting like he's not responsible.

He's a scumbag.

There defending of Jon Tron but also attacking a journalist who exposed Pewdiepie for showing anti Semitism.

Because of that other youtubers and all of there followers attacked that journalist for doing his work. He even defended his anti Semitism after later deleting the video on saying he was wrong and he isn't a journalist.

I never watched his podcast or anything but the shit i do see come by is unbelievable.

I got off the train a while back, but the Bill Burr podcast seems like a big exit ramp for a lot of people.

I watch him from time to time, there's some laughs in the podcast and he manages to get pretty big names on there. I just looked and he got Bill Burr. I feel like he stopped putting in the effort though on real videos and is going all in on the podcast which is pretty lame.

Yup, one of the first times it seemed his fanbase actually started to realize he's bad at interviews. Even though they've been terrible since the beginning.

I think he was hilarious the first few videos...then he started talking politics, and he was clearly on the wrong side of many things. Then, I stopped watching altogether.

Not worth my time.

The Stussining
I vaguely remember the main reason I unsubscribed from him was years ago. he was in a spat with a guy (can't remember if it was someone of Facebook or YouTube) who was making fun of kids. Ethan took the high ground and made the claim that he never makes fun of kids or people that can't take the punch. Problem is I followed Ethan and his wife's reaction channel. And they did in fact have multiple videos where they reacted to kids doing dumb stuff and making fun of them. Unsubscribed after that cause Ain't got time for hypocrites.

*fake edit I think the feud was with a youtuber named Leafy?

I miss the Ethan from Israel Ethan.

Honestly he did this to himself by trying to tackle serious topic which is just dumb. It is like Boogie who started out doing gaming videos then went political when he doesn't understand shit about it which ruined his channel.

I used to like him as well, but then he did a lot of shitty things. There was that incident with him calling a WSJ article fake and sicced his fanbase on the writer.

Even before that incident, I was getting really tired of his "triggered SJW feminist" schtick. He did a video around the time on that one with the woman that had the camera in the guy's face and he said his name was "Hugh mungus", and while yes, the woman in the video in the wrong, the way Ethan kept going on about it was really shitty and kept bringing out the "triggered feminist" thing. I'm pretty sure he also has said things against feminism in the past. Him defending Pewdiepie on video was really horrible, and he indirectly defended JonTron (unless he has made a video defending him since I unsubbed) with interactions on Twitter basically talking about how all the shit against Jon was unfair.

I remember an H3 podcast clip where he had Boogie on (I think he's been on more than once) where Boogie talked about how the woman's death in Charlottesville was somehow the fault of liberals, and during that Ethan's nodding along going "Yep, yep, mmhmm".

Watched one video he did about Tmartn years ago, thought it was fine but kinda nothing, then never watched anything on that channel ever again. He apparently does/did a lot of the "huehuehue, are you triggered?" garbage, which is super fucking lame.

I chose the "never show me anything from this channel ever again" button on a recommendation and have since never seen one of his videos' thumbnails, so YouTube's finally doing something right, I guess.

I know that but you get the point.

These guys try to claim they are only doing "fun" stuff but then for some reason do the opposite of it (Boogie defending Gamergate or being a spineless coward on many things) which they could have not done to begin with because they clearly don't understand anything about it.

Since they started the Podcast.

They literally give a platform to scumbags and don't question their terrible views at all. So it's basically a conduit for disinformation and straw man Alt-right talking points.

i used to be a fan, i made the OT back on Gaf

I think i dropped off completely just a bit before they started the podcast, and the podcast kept me away even more

i don't mind if people still likes their videos (some of the older ones are still pretty funny), but it just don't fly with me no more

He's also a fucking baby when he gets criticized on Twitter.

He's had tons of shitty guests on his podcasts, including Joey Salads, JonTron, Jordan Peterson, Boogie, SoFloAntonio, Pewdiepie, Dr Disrespect, Moe & Ethan Bradberry, and Keemstar. I don't understand why he has these people on, especially since some of them were the subjects of his videos he spent dunking on them.

Joey Salads he had a whole thing where he called out one of his "social experiments" being fake, with proof, and made to prop up racist stereotypes against black people. He had an interview with Joey on this (not on the podcast, separate video) and got Joey to admit other racist "social experiments" were fake. After all that he still invited him on his podcast.

SoFloAntonio frequently stole people's videos and claimed them as his own, particularly using both Facebook and YouTube, and H3 made a similar sounding Facebook page as a way to dunk on him, which Facebook ended up transferring all their likes to the real SoFlo. And Ethan still had no problem inviting him on the podcast.

Moe & Ethan Bradberry did some similar Joey Salads antics with racism and videos Ethan has dunked on them in the past for.

Keemstar I don't think Ethan ever did any videos on, but he's pretty awful in general. (Edited out video that actually is not good, and forgot how that video actually was)

was only a casual fan and kind of lapsed out after it stopped coming up on my youtube recs, but last time i checked seemed like ethan was kind of burnt out on the "format" and was generally uncomfortable being an arbiter of YT absurdity

every channel kind of hangs its hat up at some point and kind of does its own thing, though i'm guessing lots have jumped ship on virtue of him breaking character and "keeping it real"

I also used to be a big fan of their meme videos making fun of pick up artists and pranksters but once he started making videos pandering alt-right people he really lost me. Like....that money must've been good because it was quite the switch hearing him rant about "triggered SJW feminists" and shit.

He fell into the whole "SJWs are stifling muh free speech" garbage and has thus exposed himself as a woefully uninformed reactionary who enables the worst of the internet under the guise of "it's just memes bro". He panders to the 4chan, /r/T_d crowd and has become the exact clown he very accurately used to expose and make fun of.

It's a fucking shame because a lot of Ethan's early videos are golden. But nowadays he can kick the biggest of rocks.

That is about when I checked out too. Especially after they won that competition to hang out with Khaled and then they played him a video of them making fun of him. Say what you will about DJ Khaled but he hosted them all day in his home and for Ethan to ambarass him for YouTube views was low.

I mean yeah everybody has pretty much said it already. I used to be into them too, goofy fun videos, but damn did that train go off the rails quick. I can't stomach Ethan anymore. He went deep into that Youtuber feedback whirlpool...

He had Bill Burr on the podcast recently and I just couldn't resist the disaster potential of it. Goddamn one of the worst interviews ever

And no, he only apologized for it because it pissed off his progressive base, it only kept getting worse with him as time went on so I do not believe his apology was genuine.

I liked them at some point, then they got sorta political. Ethan seems like the type of dude to eventually have a "heated gaming moment". Him and Jontron were close, so it only feel like a matter of time for him to slip up. Same with that Content Cop guy, can't trust these Youtube personalities.

Only videos (at least in the past week or two) in youtube i've seen taking op's stance have been from alt-right/similar idiot channels like the quartering. They whine about stuff like Ethan saying police did wrong by tazing that old lazy who was cutting flowers with a knife. Kinda funny to see progressives and alt-right types agree their channel is getting worse but for different reasons.

I listen to their podcast sometimes when i don't have anything else to listen to. I think it's decent but i miss the older videos.

That's part of why I find it hilarious. Ethan can't explain his points well enough and now he's finding a backlash from people that were once all in. He did no research on that incident.

They've completely surrounded themselves in an echo chamber. It's ironic because they initially made fun of others that lived in a bubble. There was a tipping point where they detached themselves and entered the world of YouTube celebs.
