Wow Geno a character from one game in the 90's who hasn't shown up since a cameo in M&L. He is not big compared to Goku at all.Not if you get motherfucking Geno or Goku or Banjo or whatever. Anything that big stands strong on its own.

You can only fit two characters in a box.Why are people talking about we only getting two more characters
Can someone explain this nonsense to me
Long story short: The special edition box has every character on the sides and, some mathematics later, leaves room for three characters minus Isabelle. So two characters. Why are people talking about we only getting two more characters

...Ya'll realize they could shift and adjust asset size like they did already....correct?Long story short: The special edition box has every character on the sides and, some mathematics later, leaves room for three characters minus Isabelle. So two characters.
What were the final fighters before the release of Brawl and 3DS? Not including leaks and unlockable fighters we were supposed to discover after release. Was Shulk the last official reveal before Smash 3DS released?

Honestly, with how much smoke there's been surrounding a Gen 7 Pokémon & how Vergeben's still standing in terms of his Smash credibility (his credibility elsewhere leaves much to be desired), I can't see a Gen 7 Pokémon not getting in the base roster.Shadow could be a huge DLC magnet.
If we're really only getting 2 more characters, (Sakurai kinda wasn't lyin'.) we're getting Ken as an echo and some character that will make a lot of people happy. My money's on Skull Kid or Geno. That way, they won't have to add a new stage and 103 really is the final count.
Lol, fuck that stage count. The final reveal will be a major 3rd party everybody will love. Dragon Quest Hero or Banjo & Kazooie. Let's get it!
... And then, Sakurai will announce a season pass featuring 8 characters...
Wait, why didn't anyone think of this?!...Ya'll realize they could shift and adjust asset size like they did already....correct?
From a marketing standpoint, there makes little sense to frontload reveals to the point you only have one newcomer and one echo left to show three months before release.Just from a marketing standpoint, it seems silly to expect Incineroar as the last rep, or to get in at all now.
That kinda brings me to how the 4chan rumor brought up Dante. If it's legitimate (which I have my doubts on for a reason I've already stated), the guy/gal mentioning Dante separately from the others makes it seem like he'll be the last-minute surprise at the end of a possible November Smash Direct.Incineroar would be hype, but it'd feel wrong to end on a franchise that's already represented. Give me something nuts like Banjo or Goku. Hell, I'd even take something stupid like Minecraft Steve
But Nintendo does own Wonder Red.
Of course they could. I'm not sure if I believe the theory myself....Ya'll realize they could shift and adjust asset size like they did already....correct?
Maybe we'll get thrown a curve ball and the Pokemon is from a different generation.Honestly, with how much smoke there's been surrounding a Gen 7 Pokémon & how Vergeben's still standing in terms of his Smash credibility (his credibility elsewhere leaves much to be desired), I can't see a Gen 7 Pokémon not getting in the base roster.
I didn't notice the character changes. That's so awesome!
As much as Diddy is a Rare character and Sora is a Square character. But okay, think what you will.
Is it me, or does the box theory hard lock King Hippo? Think about it, we went on a hero - villain - hero streak. Combine that pattern with the box theory, and there's only one conclusion. He even has purple gloves and yellowish skin/pants so it even aligns with the chair theory. Dont even get me started on the music theory.
Why Ray MK II when there's Ray MK III? Hell, why not the superior Ray 01?whichever theories provide the most support for st falcon and ray mk ii are the ones i'll believe
because we all already know they're in, so the best theories are the ones that acknowledge them
So people are literally claiming a theory that has quite literally been disproven , but their last bits of marketingOf course they could. I'm not sure if I believe the theory myself.
Dante would be a wild note to end on. It'd be super out of place like Cloud, but it's crazy enough to make people go nutsThat kinda brings me to how the 4chan rumor brought up Dante. He specifically said Gen 7.Maybe we'll get thrown a curve ball and the Pokemon is from a different generation.
Like Mega Gothitelle.
Yeah, it seems off. From a marketing standpoint, there makes little sense to frontload reveals to the point you only have one newcomer and one echo left to show three months before release.
Oh hey!!! Nice to see you here!I knew I liked you back when we played PSAS together (I was JStein on the old forum), and then again when you said you wanted Spring Man in Smash... but calling up the big bad from one of my top five games of all time?
...
:')
Yeah, but I don't care about Vergeben.
Fair, but he & Imran are all we have at this point.
People will bring up how the latter reveals were less "exciting" later but at least the marketing was more consistent overall. We had newcomers come in every now and then but now it just seems weird to have a big blowout in one presentation before release and to not even attempt to match that for the final reveal. At that point wouldn't you not want to disappoint people right off the bat? From a marketing standpoint, there makes little sense to frontload reveals to the point you only have one newcomer and one echo left to show three months before release.
Hello everyone! This is my very first post on ResetEra and let me start by saying I hope you are all having a wonderful day/afternoon/night.
We're less than three months away from the release of this game, and maybe you won't get every newcomer that you want, but always remember to look on the bright side, which is that Fountain of Dreams is back and is such a wonderful stage.
Nah. Nintendo could make another wonderful 101 game without platinum's approval tomorrow and they'd not be stopped as they fully own the IP. But Rare sure as hell couldnt make another Donkey Kong Country without Nintendo approving, and Square Enix would definitely get blocked from featuring Sora in anything without the Disney seal of approval. As much as Diddy is a Rare character and Sora is a Square character. But okay, think what you will.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯So people are literally claiming a theory that has quite literally been disproven , but their last bits of marketing
Nintendo actually fully owns the IP for W101. All the characters are very much Nintendo characters, even though it's unlikely they'll ever see the light of day outside of another Platinum project. As much as Diddy is a Rare character and Sora is a Square character. But okay, think what you will.
Even if the box theory is false, it's kind of good that people start lowering expectations a bit.
That Olimar and Shulk thing brings up a good point. They like having their last reveals be from new first party IPs that are niche and have a cult following...
Wonder Red fits snugly in that canon.
When Shulk was added in he had a limited release in the US. Keep in mind Shulk was implemented some time in 2012. There was a reason why Sakurai said he wouldn't be a character they would typically add in. Xenoblade Chronicles was more like Codename S.T.E.A.M, and Golden Sun at that time. Nintendo and Monolith just did a good job capitalizing on the brand by the time Shulk was announced for Smash.Pikmin was a million seller when Olimar got into Brawl and Xenoblade had a sequel in the development when Shulk got into Smash 4. Wonder Red doesn't have either of those things going for him.
If we're talking about smaller, unrepresented first party series, Rhythm Heaven is most likely to fill that role. I'm not optimistic though.
What is this box theoryEven if the box theory is false, it's kind of good that people start lowering expectations a bit.
