Decided to take a peak at Smashboards. It's one part people standing at the edge of a cliff, one part people telling them that they have more to live for, and one part people hunkered down in their bunkers willing to fight to the very end.
I do... im asking why people take a few trolls from 4ch or reddit and use it to be like "typical smashers"

So that makes cutting a character with a fun moveset a good idea? Reducing the game's content so you can feel less salty about the roster being "bloated"?
Is lucario a semi clone of samus as well? All 3 basically share one move and nothing else.
I would've never shit talked on Shadow. Sure he starred in a few bad games, but that doesn't mean I am not allowed to like the character. I've wanted him ever since he was deconfirmed as an Assist for Brawl, and Ultimate is/was his greatest chance with echo fighters and all.

That's just nonsensical. Animal crossing is one of Nintendo's broadest-appealing series, with sales to match.
Honestly, if you were hearing some of the arguments for characters being cut ("I don't want to see Dark Pit on the character select screen!") then you should have known that everybody coming back would still piss some people off somehow.
My disinterest in Fates stem both from their overly high representation in Fates, and a bit of favoritism. Other part is from Amazon fucking me over on the Special Edition by choosing the worst possible shipping and it getting lost in the mail forever

Well, that's certainly rare. I'll give you that I'd be thrilled to have Azura represent Fates in Smash 4 with a spear moveset, but not only Corrin is a blank-slate protagonist even worse than Robin, he's yet another sword Lord. Not only that but his Smash representation is completely out of nowhere and doesn't look like how he fights and moves in his games at all. He was purely marketing material no matter the way you look at it and having him coming back for Ultimate won't change the fact he feels cheap, rushed and just an excuse to further promote Fates.

It's probably close to outselling all of Metroid as well. If it doesn't beat it by itself then add on either the gc or wii game and it should pass it, let alone adding the ds title which sold 11 million on it's own.
I wish Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle were three separate characters with their own slots not tied to the Pokemon Trainer and that the Miis had 3 separate slots and pages on the Smash website, that way it would be much neater, we haven't had it cleanly since the very first Smash as we had Zelda/Sheik, then Samus/Zero Suit Samus along with the Pokemon Trainer, and then with Smash 4 the 3 Miis in the same slot.

And they're awesome! Super fun to play as, with lots of cool moves. She can turn into a dragon for attacks and has a sword that can also function as a chainsaw. Corrin's the best! Let's get some more Fates characters!
Incineroar Ken and Dante sounds like a reasonable amount of characters left to be revealed. Some people think that we are getting 7-11 more characters. December might not even have any reveals since the game comes out early that month. The box thing can be legit if they finalize the box for stores to have despite Dante being in for Late November reveal. It will probably be laying in stores for like 2-3 weeks. That is reason enough to not have Dante on it.
Absolutely none of these arguments make sense. Personality doesn't matter in Smash, they have a sword but it is far from their only weapon, characters come out of nowhere all of the time and it doesn't make them bad, most of the characters have movesets made from scratch (Captain Falcon and Fox anyone?) and do you want a list of Smash characters who were used as marketing?
First of all as someone pleading for Nintendo to make another Kid Icarus game I can't let Metroid and Fire Emblem be called niche.
Second of all this has to be the funniest all-in level of underestimation of a franchise's popularity I've ever seen.

So I can feel less salty about the chances of getting an actual interacting protagonists such as Celica in the game without worrying about so many FE reps :(
I find it weird that we'd get more characters revealed in the Smash direct (5, 2 newcomers and 3 echoes) than in all the subsequent months up to launch (2-4 depending on who you ask). That's why I think the box theory is bullshit.
Metroid has about 18 million right now, so not there yet, but I think adding in city folk beats it
I would cut Male Corrin before Male Robin. David Vincent's voice is amazing.
