We just adopted a dog and called him Trico

Yes, Trico from The Last Guardian. We know that Trico isnt a dog, obviously. It was supposed to be called Agro (yeessss) but we changed our mind on the way to pick him up.

Anyway, was just wondering if other people named their pets something related to videogames?

Cute! But where are the pics?

Also, I have never named an animal after video game things. I have a friend who posts on here who tricked his parents into naming their dog Kite (Dot Hack), he never told them it was a video game character iirc.

I named my German shepherd Fenix after Marcus Fenix. I was trying to think of a name and Fenix just came out and stuck.

My dad named his dog (large breed) Big Boss. No, he doesn't play or knows about MGS, but I found it funny. Also, we're from Portugal and he barely says anything in english. I think he said he got it from a Bruce Lee movie or something.

I referred to Trico as "puppy" the whole game so this makes sense.

I adopted the cutest puppy chihuahua recently and named her Luna. But I won't hijack this thread with actual pics... Shame, OP. Post some pics!

Happy at the park. Funny thing: we met another couple with a dog, and they are from the same city I lived all my life. That city is 9000km away from here.


He is a mix of Labrador and German Shepherd, 5 months and 18kg. Very sociable. For now he peed twice on the stairs of our building lol. He used to live in a terrain with dogs and cats, so he behaves well around them. I guess we already love him. His ears actually remind me of the original Trico.
