only cause i have to in order to play online. tbh that service is complete shit
This. It's a bargain alone for the NES games, which Nintendo have charged for individually in the past. As they add more games like SNES etc the value will only improve.

People just like to complain.
or maybe i don't care about NES games.

The Direct's presentation provided zero new details but the expanded look at NES games was actually pretty nice. I'm doing the family pack with a few friends so it's costs like $5 a year. I'm not excited for it but it's too cheap for me to care either way.

No, not until they add SNES games or offer some sort of real incentive. I highly doubt there will be any real juicy deals.

Ok, unless your Switch suddenly stopped working and can't pay as little as $4 a month, then it's a very minor problem.

No, and I likely won't ever buy a Switch because of it.

I won't support a company that adopts a console tax to access online play.

I didn't buy the NES Mini so I'm paying to play these games and for the special offers.

Theoretically I shouldn't do this. I feel like I am doing this for the NES games since it looks like all F2P games don't need the service and Paladins is currently the only online games I play.

But Mario Party and Capcom Beat 'em Up might change that...

I will eventually just for the Cloud saves probably. I will more than likely never use the online component but the cloud saves and the NES and hopefully SNES+ games later are good enough for $20 a year.

For $20 bucks yeah even though I don't like some of the decisions. If and when we get SNES games (at the least) included in the service than I'll feel happier about it.

Yes because of Splatoon, rocket league and Warframe. And that won't stop from saying the service sucks and wishing for Nintendo to fail reaching their subscription's targets

No, although I'm not a Switch owner anymore, when I buy another one, I won't sub to Nintendo Online. It doesn't meet even the minimum standard for what an online service should offer features-wise or convenience-wise in 2018. I don't think it meets the standard of what we expected back in 2008. The bargain price doesn't change this. The implementation and launch of this service has been a disaster and I hope that Nintendo can fix it, but over the year since they announced paid online, they haven't made any forward progress from what I can see.

Yeah, I see no reason to not subscribe to this unless you are unemployed and trying to pinch every penny possible.

I will because of the impulse buy price point and I want to mess around with some NES games without having to deal with the NES Classic. I'm not happy about the neutering of VC or the app, but they priced it low enough for me to bite the bullet anyway.

No. It's cheap but I don't play Switch for online games. The other features are lack too.

Nope, I don't play online much in general and the Switch is primarily a portable to me. Don't have online on the commute.

I probably will eventually but no initially. I kinda want this to hit Nintendo hard so that they'd consider better deals with a low sign up or they could just think to themselves " you know what we were wrong all along.. Gamers DON'T want to game online". They didn't even reveal anything about special offers.

There's potential that I will purchase it around Smash (more for the NES games). If the price was higher but the NES games were SNES games, I would purchase it blindly.

I have better things to spend my money on than on a subscription service that I will barely use or is just bare bone.

I absolutely loath the service, but only way to be able to continue to play Splatoon is to get it. I hate this so much.

I want online, cloud saves and NES games so yes. And I'm happy it's not $60/year like the competitive rip offs.

Sure. I'll need it to play online and it's way cheaper than PS+.
I'll probably replace my PS+ subscription with this.

i'm there day one, but i'm paying around 4 bucks, sharing a family plan with 7 online friends.
honestly at this price it feels more than good enough, all i wanted was to play mario kart, smash and splatoon online. the bonus NES games are nice but i'm not too excited about them, and the cloud backup isn't a big deal to me either.
if the family plan wasn't a thing, i would have paid the 20$ but might have expected more.

I still need to know what the exclusive offers will contain. I'm pretty pissed that they pulled the same "we will talk about it later" stunt again. Like, come on, you clearly have to have an idea on what this will look like. Still, I'll probably subscribe, the Switch is my primary platform and I'll let my PS+ expire at the beginning of 2019, replacing it with Switch Online.
One thing is certain, though - I won't pay for two services. Whichever strikes my interest wins. For now it'll be Switch Online, but who knows which one I'll use in 2020 or after.

As much as I think everything else about the subscription is underwhelming, the 20 NES games are a nice incentive for 20$/y and well, I do intend on playing Smash online, sorry for being part of the problem.

Will not renew subscription if Smash online is as awful as 4 and if no SNES or N64 games are announced though.

I'd rather not, but it's super cheap, will give me cloud saves, and is the only way I'll be able to play Smash online. So I'll wait until December.

Yeah. Family are heavy users of Mario Kart, Splatoon and Minecraft. I was aware on purchasing the machine that the service we use currently was effectively a trial and now that is at an end.

Yep, mainly cause I play a few games online (mainly Miencraft). So, yep. I'll need it anyways
