So to be clear, is there any difference between buying the expansion vs buying the digital edition? One has a separate homescreen icon? But also includes all the expansion content (blades, quests, items etc) for the main game.

Also (sorry for the niche question) if I have multiple accounts for different regions on the same Switch, does it matter if the expansion/base game are on the same user/region? Is it even possible to buy the expansion from a shop-linked account that didn't buy the game originally? I guess any region could buy the standalone digital version, but then does the ExPack content cross over into the main game anyway? Hopefully the answer is just... dude, do whatever you want. But doesn't hurt to ask seeing as I'm sure some others reading this will be in a similar position.

They actually added a Tips section for the tutorials. That would have been useful in the main game.

if you buy the expansion physically you get a code for the rest of the expansion pass not about the digital version as for your other question im not sure.

Loving this game so much so far, Having no gacha to trouble yourself with makes for a tigher experience

and lol finally auto-save and a "tips" in the menu added.

Really wish that this had bringer of chaos/custom difficulties. Things are dying too fast and I want to hear more of the battle music.

Been playing for almost 4 hours and I'm still in the starting area.

Something tells me my playtime is going to be longer than 12 hours.

Also I noticed everyone jumps in for level 3 specials.

Does the auto save option save for you at camps?

I'm assuming that's when it does it.

According to gameXplain guy it was more like 6 hours with 6 hours of forced side quests similar to dragon age:I

That sounds lame.

Oh well. Already got the season pass, so I'll probably jump in sometime tomorrow or Sunday.

I'm glad it's not frigging 40 hours, though. That would've been too long for me right now.

Wait I've only heard that the story was supposed to be around 40 hours long and now I'm hearing it's only 6 hours? That's really disappointing

Just noticed that they fixed one of my small complaints but only for the expansion. You can see what the requirement for something was in the affinity chart even after you complete it.

Edit: Also disappointed that they didn't add a way to soft reset. It'd really help for switching between the two things.

Since I don't have space anymore on my Switch and I prefer physical games, I would buy the stand alone edition, but I hoped that this DLC story would last around 20 hours..

I have lately only been playing in portable (farming legendary cores), so I might remember it wrong but does anyone else feel Torna looks better?

It's nice you automatically topple an enemy when it has break status applied by just switching to your Blade.

Is there the Japanese dlc dub available again like in XB2?
the OP's info table tells you yes :)
There's the confirmation finally. Should put that in the OP TheMoon :)
No because that's not accurate :)
As I already explained in the OP, there is a standalone digital version that also releases next week along with the retail one. That is what gives you the home menu boot icon, obviously. The expansion pass version is part of Xenoblade 2.

Thanks, I think I was blind or something haha
you should do that for all your games. only the games shown on the main home screen update automatically.

did you read the OP at all? :)

This 6 hours thing is getting out of hand. Two other reviewers said the game length was 17 and 22 hours, with some side quests done. That means, while shorter than the purported 30-40 hours, the main story (albeit with fillerish segments) + some side quests is still at least a 10ish -20ish hours adventure, and longer depending on how much extras there are.

I love Addam's voice but it doesn't really match his design. I'll probably get used to it.:P

At times his voice resembles Matt Berry from the IT Crowd, it's amazing.:D

How is it in portable mode? Still looking awful like vanilla xb2 or better?

Oh sorry I phrased that poorly. I haven't tried Torna portable yet but it looked better than I remembered vanilla looking docked. I thought it might have been because I had lately mostly played portable mode. But apparently:

Takahashi said Torna uses a refined graphic engine on production note. Currently Japanese only.

Ah that explains it. So it was not my imagination after all

That's reassuring. I only read some posts in here talking about the length and that worried me. Glad to know that is wrong.

It it just me, or did the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game engine got an upgrade with this expansion?

It no longer looks like a blurry mess. There's no sharpening filter added this time despite TAA still being obviously present, but the presentation and shadows look much, much cleaner. I feel this is what Xenoblade Chronicles 2 should've been from the start.

Can anybody confirm to me if these technical upgrades get carried over to the main game?

So, I couldn't resist and downloaded it since I got the season pass already. Just one question, does anyone know if you can archive this to get more space? I'm asking because I think I also want the physical version and it would be cool to continue the game there without the download.

So I've heard this is between 12-20 hours which may make me play it while putting DQXI on pause. The only thing that sounds lame is that community system thing.
