I'm a huge fan of the 80s Ultima, Wizardry, and Might & Magic games. Given our similar tastes I'm gonna bite. I don't play a lot of modern CRPGs because I feel like they lost something in the late 90s but this game looks like my speed.
Let me know what you think. I'm just finishing the first setup quest, and yeah, still no issues, still hugely enjoyable, load times much better than I initially feared.

Nice to read great impressions on Wasteland, I'll check it out soon. Meanwhile I'm still trying to finish Okami. Have to keep this promise to myself.

Edit: goddammit, Yoku is on sale.

PS: how is figment?

I have a problem :p

I have FF15 on PS4 but next played it beyond the intro. Very want to get the Switch one but feel bad about it. Seems strange to play a lesser chibi version, but I want to play FF on portable.

'Downwell' is a fucking megaton for me. The best Japanese arcade game in the last decade, and this will be the definitive edition of the game, thanks to a TATE mode in portable mode with a good placement of buttons, and without the bad framerate of the Vita version.

I need to pre-order this now, I need a fucking release date.

And I don't know in what galaxy lives Nintendo of America sometimes, to not include in the direct the fucking 'Downwell'.

Another game I finished recently and really loved is the point-and-click adventure The Inner World: The Last Monk (so the sequel).

It was an amazing space to explore and I loved most of the puzzles. The difficulty was just fine for me. It's not overly obtuse, but still challenging. And that final puzzle. Damn, that was pretty gruesome.

There is one big niggle though: the loading times are atrocious. A smaller niggle is that the voice-acting can be spotty at times. Besides that it's a great adventure and a worthy sequel to it's fine predecessor, which is also on Switch, but didn't include touch controls apparently and unfortunately. So that one is a harder sell on the platform.

Remember playing this when it came out on PS4. Really lovely game with interesting mechanics. Last boss was quite hard if Ik recall correctly.

Wherever
How's the performance so far with City Skylines?

My city is still very simple, barely rates calling it a town so things are probably not too taxing on the hardware yet. Performance seems like 30 FPS with dips, not sure on resolution but its ok. Playing undocked. I dont care much about smoothness in city builder games so my experience is ok so far, more graphically sensitive people might complain though.

Early play on this game makes me feel a little dumb. Gonna need to watch some pro YouTube videos and figure out good building strategies...

My left joycon is acting up, not always registering the right movements and generally being far less responsive on this movement than when going left.
I suppose they are only guaranteed for one year ?

I'm drooling over the watermelon set but man, those prices...

Question:
Why exactly should I care I can no longer detach Nintendo ID from my chosen profile?
I mean, as far as buying from different regions and switching eShops with the same account by changing the Country of my account it won't change a thing right?

Unrelated:
Who's handling Capcom BEU Collection?
Hopefully not Digital Eclipse... is the Switch version of SF30thA as bad/bugged as the PS4 one? Lastly, does this one have a physical edition in any region?

Sounds decent.
Especially since the footage on the Direct was a 20fps shitshow with constant dips to single digit framerate, looked super sluggish and barely playable in 3D view even for a city builder.

After playing some more Wasteland 2, I'm super happy I bought it. I never finished on pc despite kickstarting it, and I've never played the DC. Performance isn't amazing, but it's way better than I expected given how poorly it ran on everything.
The game itself is wonderful - amazing music by Mark Morgan, great writing, great atmosphere. Yeah, it's not a looker - as a CRPG fan that grew up with Ultima, the original Wasteland, Bard's Tale, Might and Magic, graphics are nice, but not super important to me - but it feels and plays amazing. Console controls are surprisingly decent.
It's not for everyone, but it's kind of incredible to have a great CRPG on the go.

Nice, thanks for posting man. Really excited to try this out eventually. Going through a replay of Fallout now... hopefully I'm done by the end of the year, ha!

Tried it on my phone but the controls made it unplayable - hope it keeps the budget price as I'd love to give it another try!

Same thing happened to my left joycon. Luckily I was still two weeks within my warranty, so I sent it in for repair. If they are the controllers you got with the console, the warranty is one year. If you bought them separately, the warranty is only three months long.

If you're out of warranty, have you tried recalibrating the control stick yet?

It's not a big deal, and the things you mention shouldn't be affected. I personally had let a friend link his profile to my Nintendo Account so he could borrow my eShop library for a little while. Won't be able to do this as easily anymore.

Anybody tried Old School Musical yet? I'm very busy with other stuff, but a good rhythm game could do for bus rides and the like.

I just noticed The Way Remastered is on sale for just $2.99! Is the game any good?

At this price, I'm sure inn, double dipping after purchasing the game in Steam at full price :)

For the bits that I played in Steam, yes, very recommended, specially at this price. It's a nice take in the 'Flashback' or 'Another World' formula.

So many amazing games!

Despite my backlog, I'm trying to decide between the following:

Bastion
Iconoclasts
The Messenger

I'd really appreciate any thoughts :)

Meh, I think I just passed the warranty by a month or two. The funny thing is that the prices I was lamenting were in fact Internet discounts. Once in the shop I... basically flew.
And to top it all my DS4 slipped on the floor yesterday while still plugged in usb. The result was a distorted usb cable that is now acting up (really hope the interior connector is not damaged, controllers are getting pricey and having to change two would definitely not be a good prospect.

Wonder if Nintendo would repair my joycon and what it would cost. It could make for a suitable second set.
